We finished training with only minor injuries. The duels lasted for just over three hours. "Nice work everyone!" Myne cheered healing all of our Injuries. Guess she worked with magic. Same with Filo, she was more of a magic fighter. We were all tierd by the end, noone had energy. "I just want to inform you all, we have training lessons everyday! Every morning at 9AM meet me here!" Myne cheered smiling. "Yay! That was so exciting!" Filo laughed.
That was pretty fun. Except for the panic when someone is charging at you, but that was natural. "I suggest training everyone! We will all die when actually fighting with the rate we're at!" Myne giggled. Great, training. I hated training that way. I let out a grunt. "Ok!" Raphtalia beamed. "See you all later!" Raphtalia smiled. I followed her out of the room. "Hey Raphtalia! You did really good today!" I smiled. I was still holding my Scythe in my hand. I wasn't skilled enough to summon and non-summon it.
"Thank you Naofumi! You did good to!" Raphtalia smiled brightly. I honestly really didn't care, I don't know why. "I was thinking on going out to get something to drink, want to come?" Raphtalia offered. I shrugged, couldn't hurt. "Sure, why not!" She smiled once again and giggled.
-TIME SKIP-
(All he did was put away his Scythe)
She began to walk for the doors, I followed behind her. "I wanted to ask, what were you and Motoyasu arguing about yesterday?" Raphtalia asked, almost sad for me. Her face explained it all."Well, He was wondering why I didn't love him back, and I just don't like him that way." I explained. She was the only one that I was super close with. I was getting closer with Motoyasu, But obviously he hates me now. I sighed, I truly did trust him. "Are you sure you don't like him? Why are you dining it?" Raphtalia asked, her eyes full of confusion and sadness.Raphtalia opened the doors as she started talking again, "You two were so close! Also, Motoyasu does truly love you." Raphtalia sighed looking away.
"Well answer to your first question. I'm straight. I do not like males, only females." I lied. I knew I liked Motoyasu, but I wasn't going to be with him. "It's fine to like the same gender Naofumi! I'm Bi myself!" Raphtalia smiled as we reached the bottom of the steps. "I know it's not wrong to be Bi or whatever I just.." I started not wanting to finish."Just tell me, do you like him?" She asked walking in front of me and stopping me. She grabbed one of my hands. "No lying." She said with a strict face. I gulped in fear, Guess I was telling her. "I love him, I really do. I just can't date him," I sighed closing my eyes. "Why can't you date him? Don't you want to be happy!?" She questioned her eyes wide. "Love isn't happiness. It's only depression and anger." I sighed. Raphtalia looked disappointed. "Not if it's true love." Raphtalia shook her head gripping my hand harder. "I'll tell you something, but don't tell anyone." Raphtalia said looking around. There was no one around except for the few random people.
"What is it?" I asked Curious. "Last night well Myne was out with some other friends, Motoyasu came to my dorm." Raphtalia confessed. "He told me where he is. He was too upset over the rejection, because he loves you. He doesn't want you to hate him. He doesn't want you to be embarrassed around him or anything like that!" Raphtalia sighed looking away. "W-why didn't you tell me before?" I asked surprised."Well it was yesterday, it's not like it happened years ago!" Raphtalia frowned looking at me. Classical Tsundere. "Wait! Where is he?" I asked as she started walking. I walked up next to her as we continued. "He didn't want me to tell you. He'll be back soon, I'm sure of it!" Raphtalia smiled calming me down. "Okay!" I smiled. I wasn't happy, but I could at least act like it.
We walked up to a cafe to get some drinks. "I wanted to ask, why did you kiss back Motoyasu if you can't be with him? Isn't that playing with his heart?" Raphtalia asked as we stood in front of the cafe doors. "I wasn't trying to play with his heart. I-I don't know why I kissed him back. I just..felt like I needed to." I replied. I still don't know why I kissed him. I know I wanted to be with him, but I don't know why.
"Well, it's because you love him! That's what we've been telling you! He loves you and you love him! Tell me, what is stopping you?" Raphtalia asked me we walked into the cafe. It was a closer and cheaper one than me and Motoyasu went to.
"A few things." I sighed glancing away. "What are those few things? Take your time!" Raphtalia smiled. A waiter came over to us. Gave me time to figure out how to word it I guess. "You two may follow me over to your table!" She cheered waving a hand. We followed her over to a table and sat down beside each other.
"So, tell me?" Raphtalia questioned calmly. I sighed, I felt like I was being forced to tell her. Though, I guess I was. "Fine. For one I don't know how my parents will react. We don't have a close relationship already so I don't want to make them worse. Plus, I don't really know if they're homophobic or not." I sighed. I could feel Raphtalia's arms wrap around me. Did she feel bad for me? Sure she didn't. "My parents died when I was just five." Raphtalia sighed. "I still feel guilty for there death," She sighed tears forming in her eyes. This was all sudden! What the fuck did I trigger? "But, they told me to always smile!"She said giving me a weak fake smile. "Don't push it," I sighed. I didn't want to ruin the mood too much. She nodded and let go. "Sorry if I sounded like I was trying to be a showoff or something!" Raphtalia apologized.
"No,no! It's fine!" I assured her. I hadn't lost anyone really close to me, until now. So I didn't really know how it felt. Especially if you were younger, you can't process it as well. "Don't worry, I don't blame you." I said with a small smile. "Thank you Naofumi!" Raphtalia chucked wiping the tears from her face. "Sorry about that," She laughed. "What? Don't be sorry!" I questioned. "What can I get you two?" The waiter asked. "I'll get a Blueberry boba!" Raphtalia beamed. "Uh- I'll get that too!" I smiled. The waiter nodded and walked off. "So, any other reasons?" Raphtalia asked. To be honest, I had forgotten about that.
"Oh yeah.." I sighed looking down. "So?" Raphtalia frowned questioning me. "I just don't want him to betray me like my Ex. Or use me for money or some shit like that." I said disappointed. I didn't want to be used again, it was so painful. I wasn't going through that again. "But, I just want to ask. Why do you care so much?" I asked looking up at her. "Huh!" She jumped surprised at my question. "I-I just want you to be happy!" She smiled. She seemed paniced, was that the reason? Whatever I don't fucking care.
"But Naofumi, why would he leave you? He loves you!" She yelled trying to persuade me. It wasn't working though. He could act like I was all he needed in his life and treat me perfectly. But, it's funny what personality can hide. It was unbelievable. "Look, he could just be acting." I sighed placing my elbows on the table. I rested my head in my hands. She sighed and started talking, "What if I take you to him? You two can talk it out!" Raphtalia beamed, fear still in her voice. "H-huh? The other moment you were basically saying no?!" I asked confused. Raphtalia sighed.
She looked up at me, happily. "He wouldn't hurt a girl! And he would never hurt you!" Raphtalia smiled. "S-sure?" I agreed. I didn't know how he was going to react to seeing me, guess we would see soon. "Where is he anyway?" I asked. "I'll show you after, just calm down!" Raphtalia giggled giving me a small shove. I sighed, I just wanted to know where Motoyasu was located.
