It was finally the day to head home. I loved visiting Paris, but I couldn't wait to get back home where everything was familiar.
I woke up that morning facing the window that was overlooking the city and with two strong arms wrapped around my waist. The sun was just rising. I watched it for five minutes before turning around to face a sleeping Wes. I kissed his nose and his eyes fluttered open as a lazy smile spread across his face.
"G'morning Beautiful." he murmured, causing me to blush and hide my face into his chest. "Funny time to be embarrassed considering last night..." he trailed off chuckling as I hid my face deeper into his chest groaning. "I'm kidding," he assured me and rubbed his hand against my back.
"What time does our flight leave today?" He mumbled into my hair after we laid there for awhile.
"Um.. I think 1:30 but I can't be sure. I'll have to check the schedule thingy Mr. Medlock gave us."
"You still have that?!" Wes asked, pulling back looking at me with an incredulous look on his face.
"Yeah we're supposed to keep that. Why you don't have yours?"
"Uhhh no. I always throw mine out right away..." he smiled sheepishly.
"Wesley you're so irresponsible."
"I am not!"
"Yes you are."
"But..but...but...I love you?" Wes whined and stuck out his bottom lip.
"I love you too," I smiled kissing him on the lips, "Now come on we have to pack up and check in with Abigail and Fabien before we leave."
"Do we have to?" Wes whined again, "Can't we just stay in the city of love for forever?"
"I wish," I replied, sitting up while holding the bed sheet to me.
"We could, you know," Wes said grabbing my arm and pulling me back in bed when I tried to stand up.
"Wes come on," I complained trying to stand up again and failing.
"We could move to Paris. Quit our jobs, pack what little we both have and move."
"I can't do that Wes and you know it. If you've forgotten I haven't even started my new job yet."
"I know. I just thought that if you moved to Paris with me then you wouldn't leave me," he said. I couldn't look at him. I loved him but I couldn't give up my dreams for him. We haven't even been dating for two months. I couldn't focus my life around him.
"We'll figure it out. I know we will."
If only we knew...
