I found a book, The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. I read it before, but I needed a refresher. "I got one. Do you?" I asked Kaylee. She held up a book.
"Ya. Come over here. I want to show you," she called me to the end of the bookshelf. I walked over and saw the book clutched in her hand, The Perks of Being a Wallflower. She opened the front cover and pulled me in next to her so we could read it together. She smelt like the sweet scent of lavender. She read half of the first chapter before taking a break.
"I like it. Are there two copies?" I asked her.
"I think so. Hold on," she said and went and looked for another copy of the book, "Right here." She gave me a copy that wasn't in the best of shape. "Sorry about the condition. It's the only one left. We can switch or - "
I cut her off, "It's what is inside that counts." She looked at me and grabbed a hold of my shirt by my waist and pulled me close to her. Bending down I met her soft lips with mine. She pushed me back against the bookshelf deepening the kiss. I reached around her and traced my hands along her back. She shivered a little and I drew her closer to me. Her hands came up and she tangled them into my hair.
"Wes I don't think we should be doing this here." She whispered, her lips still against mine.
"I don't care," I whispered back. I could feel her smiling against my lips. I pulled my head back, our hands still around each other.
"That. That was amazing," she smiled with joy,"I don't know what got ahold of me."
"Whatever it was, I liked it." I bent down and kissed her again sweetly. Our kisses were just friendly, right? I wasn't sure how to take them. Maybe it was a good luck, and we'd get a good photography sale for this wedding. The library door opened and a younger couple walked through the door. "Hey Kaylee, I think that's them."
"Oh okay. Let's go check these books out quick." We walked over to the counter and put our books on hold until after our meeting with the soon to be married couple.
I walked over to the couple and greeted them, "You must be Eddy and Marie." They nodded "Hey, we're Wesley and Kaylee. Mr. Medlock sent us to meet with you about your wedding"
"Yes. We're excited to talk to you," Eddy spoke for the two of them.
"Would you like to sit in the small meeting room. That way we could talk and not disturb the readers?" Kaylee asked them.
"That'd be great," Marie smiled. She looked at Kaylee and I, and smiled. I led them to the small meeting room and took out my camera.
"So when is this wedding?" Kaylee asked.
"August 23," Eddy infirmed us. Kaylee wrote on the Photography of Seattle's computer program. It was a virtual planner run by our company.
"Where?" Kaylee questioned.
"The Fairmont Olympic Hotel" Marie replied.
"Sounds good. So what Photography Package are you guys looking at?" I asked. I would've let Kaylee ask but I do most of the photography.
"Well. Since money's not an object to us, the best you have," Eddy replied. Marie smiled looking at him.
"Kaylee did you get that?" I asked her.
She typed something into her laptop, "The event has been registered with Mr. Medlock."
"It was incredible meeting with the two of you this afternoon. Would you mind going to dinner with us? As a gift," Marie suggested to us,
"It'd be a pleasure." Kaylee told them. After dinner at Canlis Restaurant, I payed the tip. I walked with Kaylee to the car and Eddy and Marie looked at us.
"Thanks for meeting with us," Eddy shook our hands.
"Yes, thanks for dinner," Kaylee thanked them for the both of us.
"You know, you two would be a really cute couple," Marie smiled at us. Funny, I thought the same thing.
