Our first trip as a family, a road trip to San Francisco. We had to do some promotion for our show and so we decided that driving there would be the smartest call because of the babies. We also are constantly on airplanes so driving there felt somewhat therapeutic. My mom stayed back in Vancouver, she needed some rest.
L-"Look at them, they look so big."
C-"Lil, they are two month old's wearing newborn clothes, they are tiny."
L-"Yeah that's true. Is everything ready?"
C-"Yeah, we are going to take the Mercedes, my jeep cannot handle 3 car-seats."
L-"Thank god, I love your car but it smells like barf."
C-"Come on, I washed it like... last year or something."
L-"Let's just go, we have almost a whole night of driving."
It was actually fun, Ella slept the whole night, the babies didn't cry much and so we just talked and laughed the whole way. Cole chose a few places to stop, places he wanted to photograph. We stopped at this one place, towards the end of the trip that had these huge mountains.
E-"Mommy look."
Ella was fascinated. She kept pointing at things and gasping. We let her play around a bit while I changed the boys.
C-"This is probably the most amazing feeling, watching Ella discover new places."
L-"Yeah, I get why so many people have traveling the world in their life goals."
C-"Yeah, I can't wait until Hawaii. Ella is going to be mindblown."
L-"Yeah, and by then the boys will maybe be old enough to play in the sand."
C-"I mean you were surprised when I gave you the tickets."
L-"You bet. But not as surprised as Tessa and Chloe, they screamed for a solid 20 minutes on the phone."
C-"They don't know they are just coming to babysit do they?"
L-"Well... not really."
Cole snapped a couple of photos of Ella, she was pointing at the clouds and laughing, it was adorable.

We went back into the car, I slept the whole morning and woke up to Ella singing Disney songs with Cole.
L-"I didn't know you were into Disney songs Cole, you know the lyrics by heart."
C-"First of all, I WAS on Disney so Dylan and I were invited to a bunch of premieres. And I also watched Frozen at least 10 times with Ella. she does not get bored of that movie"
L-"Yeah I've walked in on that."
C-"I know the first scene of Moana by heart."
L-"No wonder Ella always wants to watch movies with you."
