Cole's POV:

I arrived at the party and scanned the room to find her, damm, she wasn't there yet. I went to check if she was coming right away, it was the only reason I even came to this dumb dinner. And Lili really had to tag along even though I tried to talk her into missing the party.

C-"Dylan have you seen her? I need to talk to her."

D-"No. And to be honest I think you should go talk to Lili and sort this out cause if she ends up finding out the wrong way you will be screwed."

C-"Don't worry about me."

D-"No I'm not worried about you, I'm worried about Lili, she is all alone there with your children and you are here going behind her back and-"

C-"Shush! Don't say it out loud dumbass!"

D-"If you don't come clean to her tonight then I swear I will tell her myself."

C-"yeah yeah, like you have the balls for that. Shit! Shit Shit!! is that Liv?"

D-"Oh yeah I forgot to tell you she was on the guest list. "

C-"You know how things ended with her right? I can't see her again!"

D-"Yeah yeah you broke up with her over text right before her final exam and then started dating Bree two hours later."

C-"Well I'm not proud of it but I did what I had to."

D-"And people still think you are more mature than me."

C-"Shit if she sees me I'll die."

D-"You will die anyway."

C-"Shut up. I need a plan."

D-"Okay so you will get your girlfriend and kids and take them home because this is the last place you should be."

C-"But I need to talk to-"

D-"No you don't Cole! It's like you want to die!"

C-"You know what, my job is first, and if Lili doesn't understand that then it's her problem."

D-"No Cole It's your problem! because she loves you more than anyone in this world and you have a family and you can't risk losing that! And if you leave her, she will do alright on her own but you... you will be miserable."

C-"Shut up, just go distract Lili."

D-"No way, if you want to do this, then do it alone. I do not want to be part of this stupid plan."

C-"Yeah sure."

Dylan's POV:

I didn't want to help him. But as he started to approach the bar I was feeling bad for Lili. She was going to notice and she would be devastated if she caught cole. He wasn't doing the right thing but Lili didn't deserve the consequences. And so I sucked it in and went to talk to her.

We talked about how Cole was acting weird and what we could do to help. I wanted to tell her the real reason why he was acting so strange but I didn't. Instead, I figured I would help her plan a surprise camping trip for them, this way he might realize how lucky he is to have a family.

D-"We have to go check out the old CD weed!"

L-"What the hell is that!? and is it appropriate for my children?"

D-"I got it all cleaned up to sell so yeah it is."

L-"Okay."

E-"Mommy where are you going?"

D-"Out, with me."

L-"Go to your dad, and take your brothers!"

When we arrived at the garage the smile on Lili's face grew.
