Part 36

Cole's POV:

Tonight was Lili's last night before going off for a whole month to film hustlers and I just wanted everything to be perfect. And it was, we took the kids to the park after work, we all cooked dinner together and then after the kids went to bed we watched a movie and went to bed. I knew that staying alone with all three kids wasn't going to be easy and that Lili would always try and find an excuse to come home but this was a big, important step for her so I pretended to be confident. I turned around in my sleep but was greeted by one of the twins trying to climb onto our bed.

L-"Dada! crackers?"

C-"What no! Go to sleep."

L-"dada bed?"

C-"Sure. Just don't wake anyone up."

He climbed onto my bed and as I was about to fall asleep it hit me.

C-"how did you get here?"

I grabbed got up and as I was leaving the room lyam climbed back into my bed.

C-"Leo no you're going to wake up mom!"

Ly-"mommy ni-night."

I picked him up.

C-"You cannot leave you to crib Leo. Its like baby jail, if you break out you get in trouble."

Ly-"Kyky."

C-"Yeah dude your brother knows how to behave properly-"

Lu-"Dada yuppie."

I turned around, Luke was there too. How did he get here? He was sitting right next to Lili asking to be held. I put Lyam down and grabbed Luke. But then Leo climbed onto the bed and started jumping. I grabbed his waist and took them out of the room.

C-"Guys what was that? You almost woke mom up."

I was still confused so I just put them back in their cribs. It took them about a minute to climb back out.

C-"Hey that's not cool. Who taught you that? If this is the same as when you started opening doors I swear I'm going to kill Kj."

So that night I just slept with them on the couch. I didn't want Lili to be stressed or nervous about me staying with these tiny monsters so I just didn't.

Lili's POV:

I arrived in NY and had and had an hour to kill before the table read so I just went to a coffee shop near the set. I was exhausted and jet-lagged but even though my brain was telling me not to, I needed to talk to Cole. I facetimed him and we just talked about it for a while.

C-"Tonight they'll sleep with me but then I'll just buy those nets that go over the cribs."

L-"Yeah and then when I get back we might think about getting them some toddler beds. Cole are you sure you can look after them by yourself if you need I'll go pick up Ella."

C-"Oh don't worry she helps out a lot. Just focus on your movie and have fun."

L-"I wish you could come and visit me."

C-"I'm sorry Lili but no matter how much I miss you I'm not going alone on a flight with the kids."

L-"Yeah that sounds like the kind of thing horror movies have."

C-"I miss you already. I wish you were here with me."

L-"Me too. Oh shit! Cole, I have to go! I'll call you later, I love you."

C-"I love you too, bye."

I got to the table read and with everyone there sitting around the round table it hit me that I'm actually going to be doing this movie, with all of these amazing people. We nailed the table read and started filming right away. I wasn't filming during the first few days but I decided to stay on set so that I could hang out and socialize with the cast. I ended up in the cast tent alone so I decided to facetime Cole before he put the kids to bed.
