Magpupula ang buwan sa ikatlong gabi. Hindi ko inexpect that it will be so soon. Rebecca's initiative to invite and accompany us to the tribe is not accidental but I have a feeling that she planned to take us there, on the night when they choose the next tribal leader. She is definitely up to something. Sigurado akong pinaghahandaan nila ang pagdating ko. Maybe, they are planning to kill me to finally wipe out ang mga tinuturing nilang taksil. I truly need to prepare. I need to awaken whatever power ang kailangan kong gisingin. I immediately tied my hair and wear comfy clothes from my wardrobe. I wore my typical gym outfit. Then, I rushed to the woods.

Pagkarating ko sa malawak na kakahuyan, malapit sa bahay namin, my eyes were caught by John's alluring presence. Hindi ko alam, why in my vision, John is shining. Siguro, effect lang ito ng maliwanag na sinag ng araw na direktang tumatama sa kanya. He smiled when he saw me running towards him. "Good morning, Vera." bati niya. John is also wearing a typical gym attire that accentuates his muscular feature. It is normal clothes but it feels like it was all made to fit into his body. His physique surely looks like a perfected marble statue. I can't describe enough how blessed he is. Indeed, he is physically gifted. Suddenly, my daydream was interrupted by John's clearing of his throat. "Are you ready, Ms. Vera?" he asked with an annoying grin. His face is now trying to get into my nerves. He is playfully grinning at me. Yes, he looks magnificent but sometimes his attitude is the worst. John is annoying at sobrang nakakainis kapag nagiging over confident, just like what is happening right now. My smiles were swiftly replaced by a poker face. Pwede bang bumalik na lang siya sa pagsmile niya kanina that somehow looks like an angel?

I nodded as a reply to him. I throw out my admiration to John for a while and tried to focus on my goal kung bakit ako nandito. John faced me and directly looked into my eyes. "Stand your ground, Vera." John declared. I followed what he said without looking away from his eyes. I tried to strengthen my stance and harden the connection of my feet in the ground covered with small grasses. "Now, focus. Activate your senses. Close your eyes." he added. I closed my eyes immediately as soon as John commanded me. "Feel the flow of your blood raging from your heart to your veins. Sense the air touching your skin. Hear the whispers of the wind. Ramdamin mo ang lakas na dumadaloy sa iyong mga paa at kamay. Let your power burn inside of you. Then, open your eyes." utos ni John sa akin.

I felt the same burning sensation that pained me last two days ago when I shape shift for the first time. But the burning sensation is not painful as what I had felt before but now, the sensation made me active. I can sense the strokes of the wind touching my skin's surface. I can hear sounds of birds chirping from far away. I feel so strong. Then, I opened my eyes as John told me. My vision is clear. I felt dizzy but it is tolerable. My eyes are magnifying like lenses from binoculars but not like before na halos mahilo ako sa bawat pagpapalit ng magnification ng mga mata ko. Now, I can control it according to my desire. I saw John immediately, his eyes were in the shade of blood red. My nose became sensitive when I saw John's eyes. I inhaled again that stinky smell of blood from him. My body responded from that scent. I swiftly attacked John.

I am conscious sa lahat ng nangyayari but I cannot stop my body from responding to that scent. My body is like being controlled. Siguro, this is a wolf's body's initial response when seeing a vampire. I dashed towards John but he quickly run like the flow of the wind. Dama ko ang mabilis niyang pagtakbo papunta sa aking likuran. I swing my hand towards his direction and trying to catch his neck but he dodged my arms and pushed me hard. Muntik na akong masubsob sa lupa but my hands and feet were both strong enough to keep my stance. I swiftly run towards John and swing my arms again but he managed to run. In a split second, John paused at my back, siguro iniintay niya ang mga braso ko upang salagin but my body outwit him. My body shifted towards his direction in a blink of an eye. I tightly gripped my hand around his neck. My body is trying to choke him to death. I feel the rage inside my veins. I feel the desire to kill him. Ramdam ko ang mga tensed muscles niya sa kanyang leeg at maging ang mga buto niya dito na kayang kaya ko ng durugin. I looked intently to him, and when I saw him, binitiwan ko siya agad. Finally, I am controlling my body.

Ramdam ko pa rin ang lakas na dumadaloy sa buo kong katawan. My senses are all heightened. Umatras ako papalayo kay John, na sa ngayon ay hinahabol ang kanyang hininga. "Focus, Vera. Do not let your power consume you." saad ni John. "Contain it. Control it." he added while walking towards my direction. Hindi ba siya nagiisip? I am out of control. I might kill him this time. "Johnnn, staayy awaayy." I uttered while trying to calm my nerves. Patuloy sa paglakad patungo sa akin ang lalaki na tila ba walang narinig. Gusto niya bang mamatay? "Staaayyy awaaaayyyy!" I shouted. Ayokong mapatay si John. I started to inhale his scent. My feet and hands became agitated, ready to move in a second na makalapit ang bampira. I tried hard to control my body.

John run towards me. Ngayon, he is looking at me face to face. We are an inch away from each other. Amoy na amoy ko ang masangsang na amoy ng dugo na umaalingasaw mula sa kanyang katawan. I focused my eyes into his. I saw myself in his red eyes. Kumikinang na parang liwanag ng buwan ang aking mga mata. "See, you can't hurt me." John said while looking at me. I pushed him hard. John fell to the ground few inches away from me. I pushed him not because I lost control, instead, I pushed him because he tried to annoy me.

Now, I can still feel the sensation and the flush of my power in my veins but I can hold it. I can control it to follow my desire. "Ngayon naman, magpalit anyo ka." John instructed me after seeing that I can already get a grip on my power. Hindi ko alam kung pano. Should I jump? Should I run? Katulad ng mga napapanood ko sa twilight saga? What on earth should I do? "How can I transform?" I asked. "Hindi ko alam. You should figure out how." the man replied. Hindi ko alam kung pano but I tried to focus on my power and think about shape shifting. I positioned myself for running. Siguro, I will try transforming sa pamamagitan ng pagtakbo katulad ng ginawa ng mga werewolves sa pelikula. I focused my power in my limbs, arms and feet. Then, I run as fast as I can.

As I was running, I felt a pain like the way that injections hurt me, hindi katulad ng sakit that raided me last two nights ago. My bones followed my movement and gradually started to transform. Ramdam ko ang bawat paguumpugan ng mga buto sa aking katawan. All of my bones are crashing and extending. After a second, white fur started to cover my whole body from my head to toe. My shoulders evolved and widen. Then, in a minute, I paused from running. John is in front of me. Bakas sa mukha niya ang pagkamangha. Surely, I transformed. I am definitely in my wolf body. Maya't maya pa, I suddenly lost the sensation burning inside of me na parang isang kandilang unti unting nawawalan ng liwanag. My strength faded. Then, darkness overcame my whole being.
