Chapter 10

"Lucy, bakit ka nandito?" tanong ko kay Lucy habang patakbo siyang lumalapit sa akin. When she reached me, she tightly hugged me na para bang matagal na kaming magkakila. Then, Luna's arrogant voice echoed. "Enough of that little dramatic entrance. We are not in the movie." giit ng babaeng bored na bored na ang istura. Maya't maya pa, hinanap ng mga mata ko si John and I found him behind us. He is there but he is not moving or should I say he is not in this moment. How come? Kanina lang before they arrived, magkausap pa kami ni John. Probably, the arrival of these women influenced the situation. For sure, Luna and Lucy's appearance might have stop the time or had put us on a new level dimension. I don't know exactly kung anong nagaganap at kung nasaang dimension kami. "Do you know her?" I whispered to Lucy while Luna is observing the place. "Hindi mo siya kilala?" Lucy asked me a question too. I can't understand her. She answered me with a question. Pano uusad ang mga pangyayari? "You are asking the wrong question, Vera. Akala ko pa naman bigla ng nagkalaman ng talino ang utak mo." Luna declared. She definitely getting on my nerves. Her arrogant attitude doesn't match her outward gorgeous appearance. Maybe the saying is right, "maganda pero masama ugali." Wait, does this quote applies to this being? For sure, Luna is not human in existence. "Hey. Girl who loves to giggle, can you tell Vera, who am I?" Luna shouted and ordered Lucy. She finally instructed the girl siguro batid niya na walang uusad kapag hindi siya nagtake ng first action. I am not the type of person whom starts a conversation kaya definitely, hindi niya ako maasahan.

"Sino ka ba?" Lucy asked in an almost whispering voice. Her question resounded like an epic fail to Luna's confidence. I cannot held back my laughter. I burst into joy. She is overly confident yet it failed her. She looks like a fool now. Poor, Luna. Lucy smiled awkwardly. Mukhang hindi niya alam ang ginawa niya. She is giving innocence in her eyes. "Stop laughing or I will crush all of you." Luna declared with great emphasis on every word. It looks like she is serious. I immediately stop at laughing as soon as I hear her commanding voice. I had to stop because compared to her I felt like I am limited. Yes, maybe, I am a wolf with supernatural strength, but I think Luna surpasses all of my abilities. In short, I cannot measure Luna's abilities, I think it is beyond my grasp.

"Tutal, ako lang naman ang nagiisip at may utak dito. I will introduce myself. Remember all of this both of you. I am Luna, the moon." she declared with such a strong push na akala mo dinodominate niya kami. She is trying to intimidate us as if she is above us, but I am not affected by what she had done. I looked at Lucy, mukhang di rin siya tinablan ng declaration ni Luna. She is giving me an amused vibe instead of being intimidated. I guess, Luna failed. "I cannot take this! Hindi ko alam kung bakit ako associated sa inyo. You both know how to embarrass me. I haven't feel like this before." Luna shouted out of her frustration. Bakas mo ang pagkafrustrate sa mukha niya. Then, she glared at us. "Pasalamat kayo, you are both under my guidance and it is a sin for me to hurt all of the beings under my watch." she added. I am under her guidance? I don't know how to react. For whatever's sake, I am meeting the moon face to face and now she is telling me she is watching me. Nasaan ang guidance niya throughout my life? As far as I remember, I had undergone many miseries but I don't feel any help and providence. How come she is guiding me?

"We only have a limited time to meet like this." Lucy finally talked. Limited time? I thought Luna was powerful? Teka, ano ba si Lucy, why is she here? "By the way, why are you here?" I asked. Lucy gazed directly to my eyes like she is looking beyond what eyes can see. "I am Lucy, a dream walker. Your dreams." she said. My dreams? Siya ang panaginip ko? What is happening? Sa pagkakatanda ko, I am not dreaming for a girl. "What a mind! Lucy is an embodiment of your dreams. She is your dreams, personified." Luna said in a frustrated and almost giving up tone. I thought Lucy was a real person. "Are you an hallucination?" I asked again. If she is my dreams, formed as human, for sure, she is just an illusion. "No. I am truly a real person but I am a part of you. I hold your memories. It is like we share the same mind." she replied. Hindi ko pa rin magets. Can someone enlighten me?

"For your sake, I will explain it to you. Lucy and you are like twins with same minds. Your mind is connected to Lucy's. It happened because of a curse." Luna narrated. A curse? My life is getting even worst than ever. Kanina lang I am shocked because of the revealing of my roots. Then, I became startled because of the appearance of this unexpected beings. Tapos ngayon, I am cursed. What is really going on? "You are under a long enduring curse, Vera. The curse is from your tribe. All your conscious memories, starting from your birth up to your childhood, were contained on a vessel for years, but recently, 18 years ago the vessel was stolen from your tribe. Lucy was the result of that stealing. Your contained consciousness had become Lucy's memories the moment she was born." the moon added. "Why am I cursed?" I asked. "Your power, your ancestral inheritance and your memories were all under a curse because of your parents' opposition to your tribe." the moon replied.

"How come na ngayon mo lang lahat sinasabi yan sa akin Luna? You have been there shining brightly the whole time." giit ko. Tears starting to fall from my eyes. "All my life, I am dreaming for peace basta kasama ko si dad but now, knowing that my 28 years of existence was cursed, I felt like I was robbed the whole time. Why now?" I added while sobbing. Lucy's hands tapped me in the back, comforting me. "I apologized Vera, but I am waiting for the perfect time na maawaken ang lahat ng dormant abilities mo. Recently, a few weeks ago, your dreams started to hunt you. The moment you dreamed about your tribe, is the moment I met Lucy in the mirror dimension. Nagkadaupang palad kami and we are both led to your dream that night. We saw you. Naitago ka ng dad mo ng maayos, even in my gaze." Luna said in an apologetic tone. Ngayon ko lang narinig si Luna ng ganito. She has a strong personality but I can say she has a pure and beautiful heart. Nagmatch na sa wakas ang mukha niya sa ugali niya. She looks so divine. She is radiating soft beams of light that are somehow comforting.

I hugged Luna. Lucy joined us. "Ngayon, we have a bigger problem to face. It is about time to fully lift the curse." Luna said. How? Pano namin malilift up ang curse na almost 28 years ng nageexist? "28 years ago, I was not able to protect you due to an agreement I made with your ancestors but the moment they cursed you, our agreement was called off. I cannot undo the curse before, kasi nung itatry ko ng iundo, you are nowhere to be found. But let me do my job as your guide, let me lift the curse." she added with a concern tone. Luna looked directly to my eyes. Once again I was captivated by her divinity. Her eyes are like the moon, beautiful and magnificent. Then, blinding lights radiated from Luna and overcame everything. I cannot see a thing because of the light. In a split second, the light went out, and I saw Luna's eyes in front of me. Her eyes are in an ever terrible image of fear. "I am sorry, Vera. Your curse is beyond my abilities." Luna apologized sincerely.

"There is something lacking kaya hindi nagwork ang power ni Luna. I bet this is what we should discover from now on. A blood moon was coming. We should lift the curse before that moon comes." Lucy said. There is lacking? Anong kulang? Knowing everything now, I became so eager to break this curse and be free. I should find kung anomang kulang ang kailangan. "Why do we have to hurry? What happened to you Luna when you became red?" I asked and was determined to find what I should find. "As I turned into blood, I crown the next chosen wolf to be the leader of your tribe. I became so powerful when I turn red and I bestow power to all that will be chosen that night." Luna answered. "You should be ready to reclaim your mother's inheritance kaya we need to hurry." Lucy added.

I think this is a war. I have to fight for whatever they stole from me. Maya't maya pa, in a blink of an eye, Lucy and Luna disappeared into the thin air. Then, I heard John talking to me with the conversation we have kanina, before Luna and Lucy arrived. Many thoughts are now playing on my mind. Thoughts on how to reclaim my mother's inheritance. Hindi ko alam kung saan magsisimula, but definitely, I must move. "Vera, are you okay?" John asked. I nodded as a reply.
