Epilogue, Part 4: Luna

I am always alone. I feel alone most of the time, even though I am with my sisters. I have everything that anyone could ask for. Power, beauty, charisma, charm and many things like that but I still feel worthless. Tila ba laging may kulang, kahit na sa tingin ko, I almost got everything. Lagi akong nagnining sa ibabaw ng mundo. I shone my brightest even I suffered in pain due to my emotions. I am weak-hearted but I never gave anyone a hint of my vulnerability. I only showcased my strong personality to be a façade of my weak side. I know I am the moon, I have purpose and significance. Actually, I am grateful to be blessing to the earth but sometimes, for me, my power is a curse. It restricts me to be humane. I wanted a low-key life, away from this kind of setup but I know it will never happen. This is my destiny.

Centuries ago, we are six phases of the moon, staying in the moon sanctuary. A void place or should I say, a space between worlds. It was created for us to be our home for eternity but for me, it feels like a jail, a sentence of an eternal imprisonment. Nueva, Cresencia, Trimetria, Eclipse and Sangria accompanied me for a billion of years until Nueva got tired of everything and succumbed to greed. Darkness ate her alive. In fact, she was the most beautiful phase of the moon but she traded her beauty for power because she wanted to be named the greatest among everyone that was existing. The heavens punished her and sent her away from our sanctuary. I never saw her since that time.

I was there before the beginning of the war between the vampires and the wolves. The war is still raging until today even though, it had started centuries ago. We have certain rules to abide so we cannot meddle in that war directly unless, the heavens allowed us. Ang pakikialam ko sa laban ng nanay ni Vera, ay isang malaking pagsuway sa aming mga kautusan. I was punished for that action but I didn't regret what I had done that night. It allowed me to save Vera, the chosen wolf whom was destined to unite their clans. She has the blood of vampire and a wolf in her veins. I cast my faith on her since that day and she never failed me.

I return to meddling after the heavens declared my freedom and I also asked for they approval to join Vera's journey. They had allowed me but I have many measures to follow. I was not allowed to leave my sanctuary every time the sun is up in the sky. I was not allowed to use my power against Vera's enemies. I was not allowed to fight in their war. I am just allowed to be an influence and a patron. The rules paralyzed me. It is such a pain for me. I felt caged and restricted but I managed to follow. Well, hindi ko sila nasunod ng sibra but I followed them in all ways possible.

When Sangria was about to display her splendor, I knew that Nueva will interfere. Malaking pagtatalo ang naganap sa aming sanctuary bago ang gabing iyon. The other phases of the moon tried to stop me from my plans on going against the rules set before us. Hindi ko kayang makita na nahihirapan si Vera na wala akong ginagawa. They warned me about the grave punishment that I will receive if I disobey the heavens. But I am firm on my decision, I will stand for Vera. We are not supposed to come together that night but I insisted to arrive full force with all the phases of the moon. They all agreed. Hindi kami nagulat ng makita namin si Nueva. She looks so wicked and withered. Malayo sa kislap na meron siya noon. What startled us, was the abyssal moon eating creatures. Vera and all the people on that place will never understand us because they are not allowed to see what's beyond their realities. But that night, the whole mountain was so scary, it was surrounded by thousands of serpents that craves for our flesh.

Our sanctuary was made for us to be safe from this creatures but since Vera needs our help, we chose to be here and to be in the edge of danger. Isang malaking kasalanan sa aming mga batas ang pagbibigay namin ng basbas kay Vera. We almost transfer all our might to her. Nawala ang kinang ng kapangyarihan namin nung gabing yun but we are still powerful. We only have enough strength to endure a fight against this creatures. Magkaiba ang oras ng mundo namin sa mundo nila Vera. When we enter the realm where the creatures are, naglaho kami sa paningin nila but we are still on that mountain top. Nueva looks like them. Grabe ng ginawa ng kadiliman sa kanya. Our fight lasted for years in our time. Matagal ang naging laban namin hanggang si Nueva na lang ang natira dahil kung hindi namatay ang mga creatures, nakatakas ang iba.
