The Woman, The Dreams and The Moon

Chapter 14

John and Angelo were both having a hard time processing the situation. Lucy is now sitting beside me while we are both staring their awkward faces. I offered coffee for the both men. "Coffee?" I asked. Hindi na ako masyadong nagugulat at natitimang sa mga nagaganap. I am used to face unexpected and peculiar events now. Sa dami ba namang naganap sa buhay ko in just few days. I finally adjusted myself. Now, I am prepared discovering more uncanny things dahil for sure, many of these kind is yet to come. But the case is not the same for this two in front me, they totally got shook sa mga nangyari. Hindi ko mapigilang mapangiti. They both look surprise at tipong hindi alam kung anong irereact.

"Sir John?" Lucy called my boss. I almost forgot that she has an ability to see through a person. Marahil, nakita na ni Lucy ang buong laman ng isip ni John. Then, the man's eyes widen, just enough to indicate his amusement. "You are the dream walker?" he asked. Lucy nodded as a reply. John smiled widely na animo'y natupad na sa wakas ang matagal niyang pangarap. After a second, everything went silent again. We are back  at staring each other. Until, Lucy broke the silence. "I am a dream walker, and kuya, he doesn't have power." the girl declared.

Angelo is powerless and Lucy is a dream walker, how did it happened? So magkaano-ano talaga sila? I have questions in my mind now. Is Luna adopted or baka si Angelo? "None of us is adopted. It's just that kuya's power never awakened. In our race, dream walkers awaken their powers when an eclipse comes. Marami ng dumaan na eclipse but kuya's power never showed up." she added. How come he doesn't have power? I thought their abilities run in the blood katulad ng sa amin. "I never knew why." Lucy answered my unspoken question.

"For your both information, Me and Lucy were both on a quest of lifting an old curse. Kaya ko siya tinawagan kanina, para hanapin namin yung kailangan hanapin for Luna to lift the curse. I know, nagtatanong kayo ngayon kung sino si Luna, you will meet her soon. But for now, I definitely feel like we have to look for something. Hindi ko nga lang alam kung ano." saad ko. "You are under a curse Ms. Vera?" Angelo asked. I nodded. "Who on earth cursed you?" he asked again. I smiled as a reply. Siniko ng mahina ni Lucy si Angelo para patahimikin. Dama ng babae na hindi appropriate ibring up ang topic na yon as of the moment. "Sir John, you knew everything?" the writer questioned our boss pertaining to Lucy being the dream walker. "Yes." John replied. Bakas sa mukha ni Angelo ang pagkagulat. Marahil hindi pa rin niya macomprehend ang mga nagaganap.

"I thought I am the only weird here kasi I have a blood of a dream walker and my family travels through dreams. It is a supernatural power that most of us don't possess. But now, everything is getting more peculiar than ever. I have seen weird things but not to this extent. Are you all dream walkers?" Angelo asked for the third time. He is throwing the questions he meant to ask the whole time. Me and John both shook our heads. "No Angelo. I am a wolf." I answered. Mas lalong naging ganap ang gulat sa mukha ng lalaki. I bet he is not ready hearing this kind of things. "Definitely not. I am a vampire by blood." John said while grinning. Mukhang natutuwa at nageenjoy siya sa mga nagiging reaction ni Angelo. "I can't believe this!" the man who questions exclaimed. Amazement replaced his surprise reaction swiftly. Mabilis na napalitan ang expression sa mukha niya. Ngayon, I can feel is overflowing interest.

"Enough of this kuya. We are not here for this. We have more important things to do." Lucy intervened in our discussion. Mukhang nahalata ng babae ang interest ng kuya niya to throw more questions to ease his curiosity. Mabuti na lang, Lucy's gifts are active. "So what are we going to do?" John asked. Lahat kami napaisip sa tanong ng lalaki. Saan pala kami magsisimula? Hindi ko alam. Should I ask Luna to come? Darating kaya siya kapag tinawag namin siya? I guess she is busy because she will turn to blood on the third night. She will not come probably.

Lumipas ang maraming minuto, hindi pa rin namin maisip ang dapat gawin. The sun is already down at ganap ng lumiliwanag ang buwan sa kalangitan. Inaya ko silang lumabas at magpahangin para kahit papano maease ang aming mga pagod na utak sa kakaisip ng dapat gawin. I never thought of this. In a split second, sabay sabay kaming nasilaw sa buwan because it radiated blinding lights, just enough to truly impair our eyes. Kumalma din agad ang liwanag. Nung nawala ang nakakasilaw na liwanag, our vision became normal again. But in our shock, the moon is not on the heaven. Nasaan ang buwan?

"Sinong hinahanap niyo?" aroganteng saad ng isang babae mula sa aming likuran. Pakarinig ko pa lang ng boses, I knew who is it. Sino pa ba kundi ang buwan, si Luna. "Hi." I greeted her and looked towards her location. Then, upon seeing her, I was mesmerized by her beauty again. Her charm definitely tripled. Mas matindi ang lumalabas na aura sa kanya ngayon. I knew she is a divine but now, she looks like a real deity. She is wearing a white dress that extends to the ground, covering her being. Her hair is flowing with the wind. Her eyes is shining in the beautiful shade of brown. Angelo and John were both stunned. Hindi makagalaw at makareact sa nasaksihan nila. This is their first time to see the moon face to face. On the other hand, Lucy is smiling. Mukhang sanay na sanay na siyang makita si Luna in her deity glamour.

"Tititigan niyo na lang ba ako hanggang magumaga?" Luna said in an annoyed tone. The moon headed towards my house and all of sudden, her dress transformed into normal clothes. Nawalang parang hangin ang kinang na meron siya kanina. She clothed herself with her human form. Bakas ang pagkamanghanga sa mukha ng dalawang lalaking kasama namin. They never expected to meet the moon like this. Sino ba naman ang hindi magugulat, if the moon stepped down on earth. It is truly a next level of supernatural.

Lucy and I followed Luna immediately. Sumunod din naman ang dalawang lalaki na hindi pa rin makarecover sa naganap. Luna sat on the chair immediately, at ininom ang kapeng nasa lamesa. Pagkapasok namin sa bahay, we all sat down to the chairs facing Luna. "What? Hindi pa ako pwedeng uminom ng kape?" she asked, trying to break the ice that had stunned Angelo and John. "I came here kasi I am tired watching all of you. You definitely need someone with a higher level of thinking to work on this. Am I right?" Lunas arrogantly questioned.

"Yes. I am not admitting with the thought that we don't have an ability to excellently think but I agree with the fact that we badly need help. A head start on this matter perhaps." I narrated. Even though, I felt Luna's concern over me, hindi ko pa rin maiwasan ang hindi mainis sa tuwing nagiging arogante siya. I hate it because that attitude doesn't suit her divine face. "So what are we waiting for, let's start!" Luna exclaimed.
