The Woman, The Dreams and The Moon

Chapter 15

"How? Paano tayo magsisimula?" tanong ni Lucy kay Luna na preskong preskong nakaupo at nakasandal sa upuan. Luna's eyebrows arched higher than its normal distance from her perfectly sculpted eyelids, indicating that she is about to burst her bad temper again. Her attitude is quite fascinating and mysterious. She is easily annoyed. Divinities are supposed to be calm all the time and mature in the sense of thinking, but I don't know, why Luna is portraying the opposite. She is immature in her reaction.

"Stop insulting me on your mind Vera. I can hear you clearly. Huwag mong subukang sagarin ang temper ko." banta ni Luna while looking at her polished nails. I can feel the moon's immense presence in the room, trying to intimidate us all but Lucy, is a real epic destroyer of moods, lagi siyang mukhang hindi naapektuhan ng charm ni Luna. For some reasons, I admire her strength for standing firm against sa mga banta ni Luna. She doesn't even showed a hint of fear or intimidation on her face. What a girl! Frustration raided the moon upon seeing the dream walker. Siguro, hindi rin magets ni Luna ang reaction ni Lucy.

Tension is in the air as the moon stared intently to the dream walker for few seconds. Lucy smiled sweetly as an exchange to Luna's dagger and stabbing glares. Hindi ko alam kung sino ang mauunang magive up sa dalawa but I be, Luna will retaliate first. She is probably filled with overflowing frustration as of the moment. Napangiti ako sa naisip ko. Then, I saw both John and Angelo, still stunned from everything. Bakas ang pagkagulat sa mukha nila. They never imagined that the moon talks and sits like this. Well, sino ba naman ang magiimagine na ang buwan ay may kakayahan na ganito? Luna clapped her hands in front of the two men, when she noticed that they are both spacing out dahil hanggang ngayon, for sure, they are mesmerized by the moon and her human form.

"Quit staring. We have a lot to do. Since, no one knows about how to start this quest, pasalamat kayo, I am here. I can help you all. Thanks to me. By the way, Lucy, you are now placed in my second list of ungrateful humans. Vera is topping the list. Kung hindi lang ako guardian niyo, I already vanished your tongues for defying me." Luna exclaimed. What? I never defied her. I just don't agree to her insults. Is it wrong? "Enough of this self-centered discussion. How can we start?" Lucy intervened. I am totally amazed how Lucy defies the moon. She is indeed a mood changer. Poor, Luna. The moon let out a contained scream out of her frustration. I told you, punong puno na siya. "Let us start." Luna said in her defeat against Lucy's remarks to her. Wala ng nagawa ang buwan kundi gawin ang sinabi ni Lucy.

"We will travel in dreams to find out what we need to find out." Luna said. We are going to walk in our dreams? How about John and Angelo? Kaya kaya nilang magtravel sa dreams? "How is it possible, Luna?" Lucy asked. "They are not dream walkers." she added. Luna smiled proudly. "Yun ang alam mo. One revelation, Angelo definitely has powers." the moon uttered. Lahat kamin ay nagulat sa sinabi ni Luna. Kanina lang, we all just find out that Angelo's power never showed up but here comes the moon, saying that he has power all this time. "Anong power? I never walked on dreams." Angelo said. Bakas ang pagkagulat naming lahat while Luna is grinning and drowning in her river of confidence.

"Angelo really have a blood of a dream walker but he is different. Every 100 years dumadating ang tulad niya. Dream walkers travel in different dreams but Angelo is different. His kind is the one who can cast curses. The dream walker blood running in his veins is called a Dream Weaver. They have the ability to see the future and bend memories, or even modify or erase it." Luna narrated. Angelo is like the one who put me under a curse? His power is quite more powerful than Lucy. "What? I don't know what you are saying?" Angelo questioned the moon. "What I am saying is, today, you have the opportunity to use your power. It is about time to weave dreams. Kailangan ka ni Vera. Lucy is a dream walker, a navigator but you, you are somehow like a door opener. You can unlock every door that Lucy cannot walk through because of the curse." Luna appropriately answered Angelo.

Lucy and I tried traveling in dreams but I am not able to join her. Definitely, kung totoo nga na si Angelo ay may kakayahan katulad ng mga sinasabi ni Luna, matutulungan niya kami. Maybe, he is the one who will lead us to a life free from a curse casted on me by his kind. "If what you are saying is true, how can I use my power?" Angelo said while trying to discover possible ways to help us. "Lucy, can initiate our dream traveling." Luna replied and looked towards Lucy's direction. Lahat ng mga mata ay nakatingin ngayon kay Lucy.

We will travel in dreams? Everything is getting more peculiar than ever. Kabado ako na medyo curious. A part of me wants to push everything to finally lift the curse but another part of me was scared and unprepared sa mga bagay na pwede kong matuklasan mula sa mga memories ko na hindi ko na maalala. "I agree with Luna. Vera's memories are inside my unconscious. I tried travelling there but I can't. I felt Vera's emotions whenever I face the door towards those forbidden memories. I know those memories are the worst and painful. Vera, be prepared. Kuya, John, Ms. Vera and Luna, sleep." Lucy uttered. Pagkatapos banggitin ng babae ang salitang 'sleep', tila ba isa itong command na sinunod ng aking katawan. It feels like a switch was pressed kaya automatic akong nagshutdown.

Darkness slowly overcame my vision and led me to sleep. Before I finally close my eyes, I saw everyone drowning into the depths of the world of sleep and dreams. In a second, I saw again the lamp post, the mirror and the chair. I am in the mirror dimension where I met Lucy for the first time. Iginala ko ang aking mga mata, and I saw everyone of them. Gulong gulo pa rin si John and Angelo sa mga nakikita nila. Lucy and Luna were both looking determined. "Angelo, it is about time to use your power." Luna instructed Angelo.

Angelo doesn't have any idea how to use his power, you can evidently see it on his face and actions. "I don't know how." giit ng lalaki na sa palagay ko ay sobrang pressured na sa mga nagaganap. In a sudden, the mirror radiated a soft light, then it was followed by little cracks, slowly appearing on its surface. The mirror is in the state kung saan unang beses kong nakitang lumabas si Lucy but the difference is, now the mirror plays flashes of scenes in a rapid speed na parang nakafast forward na movie or should I say it looks like a preview.

"Kuya, Look! You have a key on your hand." Lucy exclaimed. Lahat kami napatingin kay Angelo. Ngayon, may hawak na siyang susi. The key is painted with gold. Its handle displays an elegant design with a star symbol on its head. The stars on the key, look exactly like the stars on the insignia and the bracelet that I obtained few days ago, from Luna. Hindi ko alam kung saan nanggaling yung bracelet but probably, it is from Luna too.

Then, a key hole appeared on the center of the mirror. Unti unting lumapit si Angelo sa kumikinang na salamin. When he is close enough on the mirror, million strands of light came out. Malasinulid na luminya ang iba't ibang kulay ng liwanag na lumabas mula sa salamin. The threads extend on the vast space of this dimension, hindi ko alam kung saan ang end. I cannot see where the threads stopped. Kumikinang ang mga strands ng liwanag. It illuminated the darkness that envelopes this dimension. Ngayon, we can all see how complicated this space is. Marami ngang salamin ang nagkalat sa buong lugar. The place is adorned with millions of mirrors placed on different levels. May mga hagdan na nageextend kung saan. It looks like the place has no end nor limitations. "Welcome to the mirror dimension." Lucy exclaimed excitedly.

After a moment of being amazed, Angelo touched a strand of light then, a memory played right before our eyes. It is my memory of this morning where I battled with my emotions. In my shock, the memory also had an audio. Umalingawngaw ang boses ko sa buong lugar. After seconds of admiring the clarity and definition of the playing memory, naalala ko lahat ng inisip ko nung mga oras na yun. I think of John that moment. What on earth! I had to stop the memory from playing! Or else, John will hear my thoughts. Tinanggal ko agad ang kamay ni Angelo sa strand na hawak niya then I awkwardly smiled.

"Let us find what we are looking for." I said, trying to cover up my true reasons of stopping the memory. Luna and Lucy both laughed hard. Mukhang alam nila kung bakit ko tinanggal ang kamay ni Angelo from the strand. John looks clueless habang tinititigan ang reaction ng dalawang babae. Angelo is also not getting why Lucy and Luna laughed. Buti naman. I let out a big sigh.
