"Remus? Remus, this isn't funny." Logan yelled as he searched the house.

His boyfriend had come over to spend some time together, (which had become a rare occurrence due to how chaotic both of their lives had become in the past few months). Remus had asked Logan if he'd grab a jar of Crofters, and by the time Logan got back to the couch with the jam Remus had disappeared. Now Logan was looking all over the house for him.

Logan huffed out of frustration and slid the bridge of his glasses back up.

"I'm not playing games. Where are you?"

A few seconds after that, Logan heard a door close from inside his bedroom. He made a beeline for his room. There was no sign of Remus, but a book was sitting on Logan's comforter. Logan never left books lying around, so he could only assume that Remus had put it there. He picked it up and read the cover: 'Words on the Bathroom Walls' by Julia Watson.

Logan flipped the book over and read the description on the back. The main character, Adam, sounded a lot like Remus. The whole storyline reminded Logan of their relationship. Once he'd read the back, he opened the book to the title page. There was a bright blue sticky note stuck to the page.

'Hi, Firefly! I know you love to read, so I got you this book. There's a sticky note, just like this one, at the end of each chapter. I hope you like it! ~Remus

P.S. Sit down and read this book right now and don't stop until you're done.'

Logan pulled the sticky note off the page and set it down on the bed. He wasn't sure why he had to read this 'right now', but he apparently didn't have anything better to do. He sat down on the bed and started reading.

The first chapter was very successful at hooking Logan on the story. He became very invested in it, completely forgetting that Remus had disappeared on him. At the end of chapter one, there was another sticky note: 'Your a smexy wolverine.'

Logan cringed at the grammatical error, but he had to admit that it was a cute note coming from Remus. Chapter after chapter, more and more sticky notes piled up.

'I like the way your hand fits in mine.'

'Your hair always smells like pears. I like pears.'

'Blood is red, blood is blue, blood is messy, I love you.'

'I love you so much you can literally rip my heart out of my chest.'

Logan was smiling much more than he usually did. From the sweet and very Remus-esque notes, to the storyline that was clearly parallelling their relationship, Logan was smitten. He had laid down on his stomach to read. Only three hours after he'd started, he was nearing the finish of the novel.

As he read the final paragraph, Logan felt content. The story had ended nicely, which drove his thoughts back to Remus. He removed the last sticky note and read it.

'I've loved you for forever and I'll keep loving you for forever.'

Logan couldn't help breaking out into a goofy-looking smile. He wasn't sure how Remus was able to do this to him, but he never failed to fill Logan's heart with pure love. It was a feeling Logan was still trying to get used to. It wasn't unpleasant, just unfamiliar.

He gathered up the collection of sticky notes and let his mind wander for a bit.

"So this is how he feels most of the time. He's told me that he's hesitant to speak sometimes because he's afraid that it'll come out wrong. He, like Adam, has said that he feels misunderstood by those around him at home."
