Samantha looked away from the barricade
"It been two weeks since my last confession,... I.... I killed three men today or at least an sure of, they weren't on the list but they were in my way, our way...."
She cleared her throat
"I know I promised not to hurt the innocent, but these men..... They weren't so innocent. It was either them or us"
She clasped her hands against her knees
"They hurt Marie and you know I feel responsible for her, I am always on the lookout for her. We are all we have for each other, so we have to stick together at all cost, that's why I had to take them out "
"How many more have to die by your hands.. Child"
Father asked softly
"I use to think the numbers doesn't matter.... It just shows how far I'm willing to go to end this "
"But does it ever ends "
"Not completely but I know differently now father, the numbers do matter and the weight of my sins are on my shoulders "
"Then why don't you relieve yourself of this pain, this burden my child and let go"
"I can't. Not when these murderers are still out there. They don't deserve to live and am going to make sure of that "

She sniffled and let a tear drop

"I wish I can believe that, but I need to make a big decision, keep them close while their lives remain in danger or stay far away from them so they can start afresh and live a care free life. Without me " she added the last part like she was about to explode
