When George returned from the hospital he announced to the family that Tom died of Aneurysm.. 

Then went straight to his study, Vera followed him.... Sam immediately returned to her room to pick her earphone to listen in on their conversation...

George was really pissed at the turn of event, this was not suppose to go down like this..... Tom was not suppose to die, now everything is a mess especially for him since tom has always been covering his ass and defending him before the high table. Now that he is gone his walls came crushing down....

How would he explain to them how he had used their money on fruitless businesses and how he was covering his tracks somehow

He might as well be dead with this sudden death of Tom

They had embezzled The money together but it has mostly been he himself who came up with the stupid idea to invest in deadbeat business borrowing the money the high table kept in the company's account....

Over the years he has been able to pull through using tricks and Tom's undeniably intelligent ideas to keep their head in check and problems under wraps

Now the son of a bitch is gone, which is still surprising because the only reason he had agreed to throw a huge Party was to get Pete Cortes to attend the party and finally clean that motherfucker for good.
Dude has been blocking their way through the British embassy and this was the chance to screw the big dog  once and for all

And it was actually Tom's idea, seeing that Pete was cousins with Celia's mother, small world.... He had said
Their last conversation had been really optimistic..... He was so sure this was the breakthrough out of that exorbitant debt.  

He even agreed to incur the expenses of an extravagant engagement party he couldn't afford but he thought he was throwing a victory party.....

George poured himself a glass of Scotch and slumped into his sofa..

"Are You... Okay " Vera asked, he didn't even notice she was standing there the whole time

"What do you think''
She raised her shoulders and moved a chair to sit in front of him

"I wouldn't know if you won't talk to me "

"Then You should know you can't do anything about "

"You can't be so sure, George have been with you through thick and thin.. You use to tell me everything. I don't know why you suddenly feel like you can't trust me.... Stop pushing me away.... I've tried in my own ways too"

George looked at his rather gorgeous wife in her perfect body shape.... It all requires money to maintain and sustain a woman like Vera, telling her about his current money issues will be the death of him, not particularly because he fancies her or because of love.....They have been together for over 16years, when things were really good... And the marriage could easily pass for love then not anymore.... And that's because

Vera is a very ambitious and very passionate about her high standards and class.   He has been able to keep her locked because they share vital secrets together but that doesn't mean the very moment Vera finds out that he's going flat line bankrupt she would hesitate to leave him

And Vera leaving and asking for a divorce would definitely kill him faster than an heart attack..... She would request for everything a large part of his worth but that's not even the sad part... The sad part is once she declares a divorce... His whole account and shares would be out in public exposing his theft and debt not only to the federal government but also to members of the high table.

Which means if he Is not penalized, humiliated and  sent to jail for money laundering,  he would be brutally slaughtered for betraying and stealing from the high table
