Thirty Two

The ambulance pulled over a couple of minutes after the incident happened. The police were here as well, covering the scene with the yellow tape

Marie was shivering from head to toe. Asking herself repeatedly
... What just happened......
Quincy is in a terrible state, she looked smashed.
Her dashing white suit jacket and pant was ruined with blood and glass pieces, her hair looked like a bloody mop stick. How she went from super woman to a window crasher in a few minutes amused Marie

If she had not seen her today she might not find this so hard to comprehend but everything happened so quickly and looked so unreal

  The way she was carefully moved to the ambulance it was obvious she had major dislocations. This is a horrible turn of event

The police officers went around taking statements and Marie didn't even notice the officer was standing in front of her, she was lost in thought

"Miss, would you like to make a statement about the incident "
When Marie didn't answer he tapped her gently and she almost jumped out of her skin

"Are You OK... Miss"

"So sorry officer, am still shocked about the whole incident " she tried to
Stay calm

"Pls take a deep breath and relax"

"Yeah..... Am good, she on the other hand doesn't look so good.. Is she going to be fine "

"Hopefully "

"I hope so too, how may I be of help officer"

"I'd like to ask a few questions if you don't mind"

"Sure..... "

"so Where were you at the time of the incident "

"I came out to make a quick phone call and then I heard glass shattering and boooom she's flying out of the window and on that car"
Marie didn't mean to demonstrate but she couldn't help herself. She was furious and confused at the same time, her anxiety was doing the most

"You didn't notice anything unusual before then"

"Not at all"

"When was the last time you saw Miss Davies before the incident "

"Five ten minutes before she flew out of the window"

The officer raised a brow and she immediately realized how that sounds

"No, I.....  mean she's uhhhm. Shes my boss and.... I uhm had to, "
She stammered and try compose herself
"  I had a quick meeting with her before she left for the IT room. I didn't go in there with her and I sure as hell didn't push her down the window "

The officer wrote down something in his small jotter

"Why do you think she was pushed out of the window "

"Well........ "
      Nothing!  marie couldnt think of anything
"Officer it just a speculation " she smiled raising her shoulder but the officer wasn't buying it and spoke to his superior about it after asking another officer to keep an eye on her

He returned back to Marie and said

"You are going to have to come down to the station with us, we have a few questions for you "

"Well can't I just answer the questions here. I mean I have told you everything that I know. I don't think I have to go with you to the station"

"It just a few questions Miss. You don't have to worry.... As long as you are telling the truth "

"But...... Hold on, I mean on what grounds are you arresting me "
