It was one in the afternoon. The wind was blowing slightly making the air seem colder then it actually was. Clark had just finished his chores and was reading a book on the living room couch. His bare feet were on the middle cushion and his back on the armrest.

His weekend chore list was slightly longer then his weekday chore list. Martha, Clark's mother, walks up to him and sits on the other end of the couch. She made her body sit on the couch almost like Clark's.

She didn't know really how to tell her son that she is different too. She bit her lip while she was thinking.

"Clark I need to tell you something." Martha said

Clark puts his book down and listens to what his mother has to say.

Martha goes on and tells Clark that she is the one and only demigod child of Hera. The Greek Goddess of marriage, women, childbirth, and family. Hera became pregnant with Martha when the goddess wanted to get revenge on her husband Zeus. She had gotten fed up with how many affairs the sky god had in the past.

The goddess chose William Clark as the one to help her. And William had understood this and he agreed to help her. No one on Olympus, but Hestia and Ares, knew of Martha being a demigoddess. The three of them masked the scent of her from the gods and monsters and trained her how to fight if she came up on any.

They also trained her powers. They also blessed her with the ability to read English and lessened her ADHD a lot so she wouldn't stand out like the others would have.

"Why are you telling me this?" Clark asked

"Because I just got a call. My mother, Aunt Hestia and brother Ares are coming here to talk to you about something. They wouldn't tell me why they are coming though. They sounded worried." Martha said

"I wonder why they need to talk to me. It must be really important or something." Clark said

An hour later Jonathan came back from the field to warm up by the fire that he lite. Three people walked up to the house. They knock on the front door and let themselves in. When they enter the living room, Clark notices that the one with a purple scarf wrapped around her head and neck was carrying a baby in a blue blanket.

They all look like they came out of Ancient Greece. But the one with the baby tried to look more modern with the coat.

"Hello Mother, Auntie, Brother." Martha said in a cool voice

"Hello Martha." Hera and Hestia said

"Hey little sister." Ares said

The three deities turn to their nephew/grandson Clark. Their expressions become worried.

"I hear you three need to talk to me." Clark says

Hestia, Hera and Ares all nod to the last Kryptononian alive.

"About two and a half hours ago I was walking in New York to go see a mortal friend of mine. She was like a sister to me and Ares. Her name was Sally Jackson-Blofis. She along with her husband Paul Blofis were murdered in their home." Hera said

"When she discovered the scene she called Ares and I down." Hestia said

"When we got to the apartment we saw what she did. Hestia dropped to her knees next to my mother. I felt anger serge through me wondering who did this to my baby sister." Ares said

"After we talked some, we all agreed on one thing. Who would take care of her child. Clark, we want you to take care of Sally's only daughter Persephone. Seeing as we can't. Neither can her father." Hera said

Hera hands Clark the blue bundle. Clark took the child from Hera and looked down. His heart stopped and melted to only start beating and solidify again for the baby he held. Hestia and Hera, being the goddesses of family, knew what happened. Something in Clark recognized their beloved niece as his daughter.

They all soon heard Clark starting to sing the lullaby 'Hush Little Baby' to Persephone.

"Hush little baby, don't say a word,
Papa's gonna buy you a mockingbird.

"And if that mockingbird won't sing,
Papa's gonna buy you a diamond ring.

"And if that diamond ring turns to brass,
Papa's gonna buy you a looking glass.

"And if that looking glass gets broke,
Papa's gonna buy you a billy goat.

"And if that billy goat won't pull,
Papa's gonna buy you a cart and bull.

"And if that cart and bull turn over,
Papa's gonna buy you a dog named Rover.

"And if that dog named Rover won't bark,
Papa's gonna buy you a horse and cart.

"And if that horse and cart fall down,
You'll still be the sweetest little baby in town!

Clark looked up and faced the five adults.

"She's your responsibility." Martha said to her son

Martha has a little bit of her mother's family powers. So she had a sense of what had happened with Clark. Clark nodded his head knowing what his mother was saying.

"Is there anything I need to know?" Clark asked while looking at the three gods

"There are blessings on her. The blessings help protect Persephone from the dangers of our world." Hestia said

"I blessed with the ability to read and write English alongside the ability to read, speak and write modern and ancient Greek. I also blessed with beauty, the ability to cook and bake the best food in the world and to love and be loved." Hera said

"I blessed her with the memory of the color blue and what it represents. An eidetic memory and have her scent masked." Hestia said

"I blessed her to know every fighting style known to mortal and god and to know how to use and fight with any weapon on earth she touched." Ares said

"And even though her scent is masked, you should limit her electronics usage. Like when she gets older get her a smartphone and make her only use that if you can help it." Hera said

"Okay thank you." Clark said

"Oh, and do not give her ADHD medicine. It dulls her battle senses." Ares said

Clark nodded

"And you can't tell her of her heritage till she reaches 12." Hera said

"And when she enters camp her father may teach her the antlantian language." Hestia said

"Who is her father?" Clark asked

"My brother Poseidon." Hera said

"What's her full name?" Jonathan asked

"Persephone Krínos Jackson. Krínos means Lily in Greek. But you can change her last name to Kent, hyphen it or keep it like it is." Hestia said

Soon after that the three leave. Martha took Persephone so Clark and Jonathan could get Clark's baby things they kept in the attic.

They set the crib in Clark's room as the other rooms are occupied at the moment in time. Clark decides to use the money he saved up for clothes and other baby needs.

Jonathan and Martha knew Clark was saving up for his own car to act more normal in public. Jonathan looked to his wife with an idea. He wanted to get his son a truck. He knew Martha was thinking the same thing because of the smirk on her lips.
