It was now Monday. The Smallville school system has only this day of the week open for kids to turn in homework and talk to teacher if they had projects or talk to the administration if they had questions. It was usually for the people who wanted a free break.

This was the day where class schedules were not followed. The middle school and high school students loved it as their work is harder then the work of the elementary kids. Especially the high school seniors as they had to do senior projects this year. They loved it because they could use school resources to help them. Especially for the ones that needed the computers the school provided. The school opened up the computer labs for them.

But for Clark Kent this day meant something else entirely. This was the day where his parents and the school board were making him become homeschooled.

"I'm sorry kid. I wish I didn't have to do this. You were the one I liked the most." Principal Michaels said

"I know sir." Clark said

Principal Michaels gave Clark a login for Smallville high's online school. It was for the kids who needed to work a full time job to keep a roof over their heads, became parents (but it was 95% female in that area), or they were smart but needed to go at a little slower pace then a normal student. Every once in a while a farmers kid will do the online school for a semester so they could help out at home.

The ones who needed to go faster were usually tested out of high and shipped off to the community college. That slowed them down.

On Saturday, after setting up the crib in Clark's room, Martha took Clark and Persephone to the CPS office in metropolis. The one that helped them with Clark's adoption. And for the office it wasn't unheard of for high school teens to want to adopt a child. But they usually urged them to wait till the age of 18 to do so. But they liked that the kids wanted some responsibility in their lives.

And when they found Persephone's records they found that she had no name in the father spot. Only the letter P. They also found out that Persephone's birthday was August 18th. Basically two months after Clark's first Father's Day with Persephone. And two weeks between Clark's birthday to hers.

After the CPS agent, whose name was Dan Landon, did his magic on the computer in front of him. Clark's name was now in the father's spot and Persephone's last name was legally changed to Kent. As per the rules of being on the certificate.

Dan printed out a new birth certificate for Persephone and put in a request for a new Social Security card for them.

Now with his daughter in her carseat in one hand and a couple of boxes in the other, Clark walked down the hall to his locker to clean it out. Once to the wall of metal lockers Clark put his sleeping daughter down on the floor close to his feet.

When Clark started to clean out the locker Pete, Lana and Chloe come up to him. They saw what their friend was doing. But they didn't see the carseat at his feet. Seeing Clark do this made them worried. They didn't know what was going on.

"Where are you going? Are you moving?" Chloe asked worriedly

Chloe felt like she was losing a friend.

"I'm moving to the online school." Clark said

"Why? I thought were well liked and caused no trouble for the teachers." Lana said

Clark put down the box.

"You want to know why? I'll tell you why. I got a visit from my mom's mother, aunt and brother back on Saturday. They all looked about 25 or so. I don't know why though.

"There were worried expressions on their faces at first. They go on and tell me a friend of theirs was killed in her home in New York. Next to her, her equally dead husband." Clark said

"Why are you telling us this, man?" Pete asked

"Because the killer left someone behind. The woman's only child, a daughter. My mom's mother, aunt and brother brought the daughter to me for protection." Clark said

He turned a little and knelt down. He got Persephone out of the carseat. When Clark stood up again with his daughter in his arms, his friends were in shock. He knew that they were not ready for this.

"Guys meet my daughter. Persephone." Clark said

The girls gush over the cute little girl in their friends arms.

Chloe held the baby girl as Clark finished cleaning out his locker. And by the time it was there were two boxes filled. And for a teenage boy, the locker was relatively clean. There was no garbage that was forgotten, no chewing gum on the door or sides, no moldy food way in the back. All there was in the locker were books, papers and a few pictures on the door.

Pete helped Clark with the boxes as Lana took the carseat and Chloe still holding little Persephone. The group was talking while they were walking to the truck.

When they reached the truck they said their goodbyes. After fastening Persephone into the carseat Clark hopped in the bed of the trunk because there isn't enough room in the cab. And Clark and Jonathan didn't want Martha to be in the bed. Martha didn't argue knowing Clark would use his super speed to make her go in the passengers seat.

When the Kent's got home, Martha took her granddaughter into the house while Jonathan helped Clark take the boxes to Clark's hideout in the barn.

When the two Kent men reached to barns loft, Jonathan looked to his son when they put the boxes down. The elder of the two wanted to talk to the younger.

"Son, are you alright?" Jonathan asked

"A lot has happened today dad. It's a lot to process." Clark said

Clark wasn't looking his father in the eyes. He couldn't. His back was turned to the older man.

"I know. But making hard decisions will come easier as time goes on and you mature more." Jonathan said. "Some look at me."

Clark turns to his father. There was a look in Clark's eye that said that he didn't know what to do. The look was never in Clark's eye before.

"You are going to get through this. There will be some things where you will want to do it for yourself. But there will be help from me and your mother when you ever need it." Jonathan said

Clark nodded. He knew his father was right about this. The two embraced in a hug. They separated and looked to each other.

"Come on. Let's not keep your mother and daughter waiting any longer." Jonathan said

They walked into the house to find Martha making lunch.

"How did the talk go?" Martha asked not looking around

"She knows everything." Jonathan whispers to Clark

"Everything went fine." Jonathan told his wife then kissed her temple

They all sat down to eat. Clark knew that with him home all the time now would help his parents out a lot more.
