It's 3 am and according to my schedule I'm supposed to be studying geography. I swear I was studying until the point where I came across the word "distance". In geographical terms distance is  'the amount of space between two places or things.'
As a 16 year old girl who overthinks every little situation, this word got my thoughts scattered all over the place.

Isn't it funny how a person who's a 1000 miles away from you can make you feel the love and care, a person right next to you can't? Distance is only physical. If you're mentally connected to a person no matter how far away y'all are, y'all will always have each other. A person you meet 2 weeks ago can become such an important part of your life and a person you knew from the past 2 years can slowly turn into a stranger.

We've all been in a situation where we meet someone and instantly form a bond we never want to lose. That person becomes so special to you within a limited number of days that's you feel like you've always known them. You're so attached to that person that they become a part of your happiness.

There's always a this other person in your life who you can't touch but feel, who doesn't stay but you still love him/her irrespective of the choices they make, who only exists in the pictures. In the end it's about who stays with you and not the one who "promised" to stay.

Promises are meant to be broken. They're just words used to get someone's kind trust on you. It's weird how all of us have so much to say but we don't. We have so many foreign feelings inside and around us but we're too scared to accept them. Scared to get hurt again, scared to give our hearts again and it's okay to feel scared about it. We push people away, why? Because once you get attached to someone there's SO MUCH to lose. No matter how good everything is going, we tend to mess things up, we always have and yes it's scary to lose a person who's life we were a part of. Sometimes we're scared of people leaving us so we chose to leave them instead, maybe I'm one of those kinds too. We're scared to be abandoned again because it haunts us and that's okay but not always.

There are some words which you wish you hadn't said and some words you wish you said earlier, when you had time. People will leave you and it's okay, not everyone's meant to stay. Most of the times you always get the idea of the person slowly drifting away from you and turning into a stranger and you might not be able to do anything about it. People leaving you makes you realize YOU are all you've got.

Stop breaking your own heart trying to make something work if it's clearly not possible. You can't make someone love you or care for you. If someone left you it's NOT love. People who love you stick by you when the times get inconvenient. If you feel like a person doesn't care. THEY DONT CARE. A person who likes you wouldn't make you feel like they don't care. You're not selfish for wanting to be treated right.

If you've made it so far thankyou so much for keeping up with this and I hope you have a great day xD
