Freddie rested his chin on Lucy's shoulder and settled in for a little cat nap while she finished talking to Mr. Yien on the phone.

After hearing promise of good recovery from Violet's doctors, she figured she'd continue the momentum of this streak of luck while it was hot.

"And I'll file it first thing in the morning. Thank you." She hung up the hospital phone at the nurse's desk and, with her arms linked with Freddie's, walked down the fluorescent-lit hall toward Violet's room.

"I suppose my Queen of The World can't even go to a hospital without the others longing to contact her.. just another day in her life," His voice played with the extravagance that he knew she loved about him. "What was that all about?"

"I gotta file a report."

"Ooh, paperwork." Freddie threw his head back and scoffed, yet Lucy caught his dismissively waving hand in hers and squeezed their fingers together as she pulled him close to her face.

"My reports are perfect. Until that smart ass mouth of mine you talk about gets involved... that's when I get in trouble."

Freddie leaned his face into hers, affecting her, and making her well aware of how close he was to her. Lucy watched his tongue slip between his lips and his eyes smoldered with explicit focus on her.

"You're in trouble with me you know that don't you?"

Lucy pulled back and raised her eyebrow. "As a matter of fact... I didn't know that. But I'm going to find out, aren't I?"

"Are you sure you're okay? Do you need me to get you more juice?" Lucy hoped to keep a tight leash with the shortest distance between them possible as she clung to Violet's hand.

"I'm gonna be fine. I'm just glad you came to get me and shot those bastards."

"Yeah... I didn't have to," Lucy teased.

"Shut up," Violet clutched her sore stomach and mitigated her laugh. "I don't wanna talk to you anymore. I wanna talk to Freddie. I actually do want that juice now.. go away."

Patting the edge of her bed, Lucy opted to follow through on this request. She headed to the downstairs cafeteria with the intention of picking up juice and whatever else would fit in her arms and make it back without being dropped in the elevator.

Freddie and Violet were left alone in her hospital room together and she held her hand out for him to come closer and hear her.

"I worry about her all the time. She can be so reckless, you know... she'll dart right into something without a plan... she thinks she is the plan."
