"How'd you find this dear? Your taste is exquisite..." Sincere and suitable awe evident all throughout Freddie's voice. "You set all this up without telling me?"

The Victorian two-story house sat across from Central Park, it's Spanish-Mediterranean architecture showing some kind of extravagance sticking out in New York City like a sore thumb.

"I love doing real estate deals. And this one's a win win. You like it?"

Inseparable from her ambition, just as he expected, just like he loved to see.

"I love it, dear. I just love it. Oh please say we can keep it—can we?" The look on his face... needless to say, she wanted to frame it forever.

She threw the house's keys to Violet who opened the door very closely followed by Roger right on her heels.

"This place is bloody brilliant!"

Darting into the house before anyone had the chance, and beginning his exploration of their new territory, Roger's eyes searched through the novelty of the house for anything and everything new that he could possibly get into through the duration of their trip.

"What's over there?" Spotted. The backyard had recently been landscaped to accommodate the typical social gatherings in the heart of New York City, which had undoubtedly increased home's value. A lavish fountain served as the backyard's centerpiece surrounded by two gardens and a trail that provided scenery to the seating area. As soon as this home went onto the market after clearing release from Lucy's rent, who wouldn't scoop this place up at the drop of a hat?

But before Roger and his boundless excitement could reach the brand new white carpet of the living room, Violet caught him by the collar. "Cool it blondie, shoes off."

"You too with the 'blondie' eh? Even you?"

"Probably has to do with all that messy hair." She ruffled his hair just before letting him loose from her grip.

"It's not that messy." But who was he kidding? Violet's hair was cleanly cut and shaped to rest right along her shoulders; a meticulous and stark contrast to his messy hair that was haphazardly exercising a mind of its own.

She pat Roger on the shoulder. "It's very you." When she leaned down to set the example of removing her own shoes first, Roger bit his lip, giving more thought to her comment than he'd admit for now.

High stakes bargaining for who's room would be who's ensued when everyone settled into the new house. Much more energy had come to the bunch as a result of spreading their wings into some spontaneity free from hotels.

The Master Suite however had been promptly removed from the competition after Lucy's quickness claimed it.

Freddie stepped out of the shower and wrapped a towel around his waist. He toured their room once more until he stopped at the window in front of the sun setting into the horizon level with their floor. He could hear the city below calling him to its nightlife; music to his ears.

Still soaking wet, remnants from his shower trickled down his body and dripped to the floor while goosebumps from the wintry chill prickled all over his wet skin.

As the remaining sunlight warmed him, the condition sent memories flooding through Freddie's mind of making love to Lucy.

His mind chose to settle into particular memories of waking up to her face in front of him, her warm body in his arms right there with him for him to claim under the morning's light.
