A fat chance Roger took, hanging around in the doorframe of Violet's bedroom while she readied herself for an evening out.

He didn't hide his eyes grazing along the frame of her body, nor did he keep them from falling into how splendidly sexy such a short dress would look on her all night tonight... how her black pumps elongated her legs. Had he ever seen them this bare before?

Wouldn't be spoiled for choices for women of New York more than willing to come home with him tonight... but he couldn't say he'd hardly let this out of his sight the entire night.

When he cleared his throat, along came mildly intoxicated yet still smooth courage from his slightly parted lips. "Is this what it's like when you wanna come out for a bit of fun for once?"

She picked up her earrings from her dresser while Roger continued to test just how long she'd let him overstay his welcome in her door frame.

"Don't underestimate me with such low credentials for fun."

"I guess we'll see about that tonight..." The mischief in Roger's smile managed to steal Violet's eye contact as he took slow steps out her door, shutting it on his way out.

Roger took Phoenix's still open bedroom door as an invitation. Pausing to watch her from behind as she sat in front of the mirror, still in a short and sleeveless silk nightgown brushing through long red waves of hair readying herself for an evening out. Before tonight, he'd only seen her hair in a braid. Tonight, he saw how much it's long length contrasted her short height and petite frame.

"Would you kill me if I took a picture of you just like this and put it on an album cover?" With a little liquid courage already at work within him, he took another chance.

"Why?" Phoenix met his eyes in the mirror with the next stroke of her brush. "Because Violet said no?" She rose from her seat and came over to stand in front of him in the door frame, her green eyes facing off with his blue ones.

She pressed her hand to his chest, pushing him back a few steps, generous enough as to not shut the door on his face.

Freddie's kisses to her temples stirred her, and she blinked through sleepy eyes to find a blanket of nighttime across the sky outside the windows, confirming that she had indeed slept the rest of the day away.

"I'm sleepy," She grumbled and tried to hide under the blanket from the fact that Rachael had run over her self esteem with a truck.

But his finger trailed along her cheek and slipped into the crevice of her neck to tickle her. "You've already slept all day... I want you to wake up and see me."
