I woke up to the sound of El's dad talking to someone. The girls were still sleeping so it had to be early. I quietly got up and walked to the door, opening it slightly so that I could see who he was talking to. It was a woman. He called her Joyce. She was telling him something about magnets and how they didn't stick anymore. He said he was mad that she stood him up the night before but she kept talking about something that caught my attention. She said something about a lab and how they might be back and her wanting him to bring her there to make sure. Then she left. El's dad followed then everything went quiet again.
"Hey," Beverly said. "What's wrong?"
"I heard someone talking to El's dad about a lab. Do you think that that's what took Georgie?"
"I don't know..." Beverly said getting up. "What time is it?" I looked at my watch.
"7:30. Wake up Max and El, The boys are going to come to bring us to Max's house soon."~Small time skip~
El was in the kitchen, making waffles for breakfast while Bev and I changed into the other clothes I bought at the Mall.
"Is Richie here yet?" I asked Max coming out of the room.
"No, but he should be here soon."
"Here guys. It's a waffle tower!" El said as she brought a stack of waffles, whipped cream, syrup, and sprinkles.
"Just from looking at this, I'm getting Diabetes." I said grabbing a fork as we all sat down at the table.
"Hey El, are you sure what you saw was right?" Max asked her, taking a bite out of the super rush tray.
"Well, we'll know for sure once we check." After we were halfway done with breakfast we heard a car pull up then a small knock on the door.
"That must be the boys." Beverly said getting up from her chair and walking to the door.
"Hey, Bev!" Eddie exclaimed standing at the door. "So remember those boys that Max and El are friends with?" Eddie asked, fidgeting with his fanny pack zipper.
