"Help... me. Y/n." Who was that little boy and why did he sound so familiar.
"Georgie." I said opening my eyes and sitting up. I looked over seeing Richie holding on to me as if I was a teddy bear. "Wow...I guess he wasn't kidding about him being a cuddler." I whispered, giggling to myself.
I looked at his watch that laid across my stomach.
3:00 am?! No wonder it was still dark! But I never wake up in the middle of the night. Why now?
Then I heard it again, "help me... Y/n...I'm here. They hurt me."
"Georgie?"
I looked at Richie one last time as I felt my cheeks go red before I moved his arms and quietly got up, walking over the sleeping bags on the floor to find out where the whisper was coming from. I silently went down the stairs. The only noise I heard was the faint whisper and the wood creaking under my feet.
I turned the corner looking into the dark, empty living room.
"Y/n.." Was the last thing the small whisper said before I turned into the living room.
I looked at my living room wall horrified.
"Holy shit!" There was writing on my wall that said: "Welcome To Hawkins."
I felt a hand softly grip my shoulder from behind. I let out a small scream before I quickly turned around, tears formed in my eyes. I saw Richie's concerned face look into my eyes.
"Y/n what happ-" He cut himself off when he looked at the wall "what the fuck is that?!"
"I don't know!" I said hugging him tightly as he held my head close to his bare chest.
Everyone came running downstairs as Richie and I held each other.
"What the hell happened down here? Who screamed" Beverly asked yawning while the rest of the group crawled down the stairs behind her.
"Probably Richie." Stanley said turning the corner. Eddie giggled as he rubbed his eyes.
"Yeah Ed's laugh at that, your mama loves it when I scream."
"God Richie already with the nasty jokes?" Mike said giving him an annoyed look.
"Did we interrupt something?" Beverly said seeing us pull away from the hug.
"Well..yes." I said slowly pointing to my living room. Everyone stopped in there tracks seeing the words written on The wall.
"Is that ...blood?" Stanley said in a frightened tone.
We all stood there staring at it until we heard a puff. "What is.. Hawkins?" Eddie said in between heavy breaths.
"I don't know but I've seen it before. I think I heard my parents talking about it and last night, in the bathroom, before Stan came in. I saw- I was- " I stopped myself to gather my thoughts."-a... Balloon. A red balloon in the bathroom that said "Welcome To Hawkins" on the front. Ben, you have to have heard of it right?"
"It sounds familiar. We can go to the library in the morning to find out though." We all slowly crawled back up the stairs and into bed. I was last because I was just standing there looking at my wall.
"Hey, it's okay." Richie said turning back down to me from the bottom stair, holding out his hand. I jogged over grabbing it as we walked back upstairs following our friends.
He's dead. There is no way that was real. But the other saw it. We all saw it.
