Hello to all 0 of my readers!! This chapter is a little discouraging, sorry babes. The next few chapters will be like this. It's a bunch of filler to last until she gets to college, it's also important for their relationship and character development. But I promise this read is worth it in the end. Stick with me here. Wink wink ;)
We only went through the drive through, Billie kept saying how exhausted she was so I just decided it was for the best to be quick. I planned on paying for the meal to be sweet but Billie ordered four burritos. I could only afford one for me and one for her. Ever since I quit my shitty cashier job to move to Cali and spent all my savings partying, I been pretty broke.
So I let her pay for herself after apologizing a couple of times, which sparked a playful argument. She yelled at me for even considering the idea of paying for her, let alone myself. After a little bit of arguing, we agreed to pay for our own meals, right before Billie slipped the employee at the window a tip of $20. This bitch really appreciates Taco Bell.
By the time we pulled into my driveway, it was around 3:30 in the afternoon and Billie had already finished one burrito. As I got out of the car I noticed Taylor and his girlfriend were listening to music on his front porch, closely watching Billie and I. Almost as if they were waiting for our arrival.
I shot Taylor a dirty look as he nudged Bella to look in my direction. Her face lit up as she noticed who I was with. "No way" she mouthed at me. I count help but smile back. I looked over at Billie whom was watching this interaction with confusion all over her face. I smiled at her, "you got fans everywhere, that's Bella, Taylor's girl," I explained as we walked up towards my door.
"Hey Bella! Taylor! Long time no see!" she yelled out, a loud cackle followed her greeting, before I opened my front door. We just barely saw their excited yet speechless reactions before I dragged Billie and her burritos inside.
"Welcomeeee," I dragged the word out with a big smile on my face, excited to have her to myself. If she was tired before, I couldn't tell, because she was beaming to be there.
"Eeeeeeee! Where's mom? Where dat baddie at?" she asked loudly as if she expected my mom to waltz in and pose for her.
"She doesn't get home until like 5 I think, she's running errands, preparing herself to meet her favorite person," I joked even though it was entirely true. "Is that why you're suddenly so excited? You've wanted to meet my mom this whole time, that's why you're here," I sarcastically questioned her with a smirk on my face.
"Oh shut the fuck up," she let out with a laugh. "I'm just happy to be here with youuuuu," her expression was practically identical to that emoji with the stars for eyes and that big grin. Except she was better than the emoji because she had them dimples and those motherfucking eyes. Oof I was staring.
I gave her a quick house tour of my little ass house. I took her out to the back deck to show her my big ass back yard though, because that was the best part of the house and it was a beautiful day. Taylor eventually realized we were outside and he decided to hang out in his yard with Bella so I figured it was time to go inside.
"You said keep it chill so... What you tryna watch on Netflix?", I asked, I didn't realize how flirty and suggestive it was until it came out. Billie reacted by raising her thick eyebrows and laughing, causing me to blush and backtrack.
I turned the TV on and shuffled through Netflix as Billie got comfortable sitting on my bed against the wall, criss cross applesauce.
I laughed at her cute little position, "criss cross applesauce," I mumbled to myself involuntarily.
"The fuck did you just call this?", she laughed as she put her legs out straight in front of her and laid one over the other, getting comfortable again. "Did I just hear 'criss cross apple sauce'?", she said it in a baby voice while she laughed, trying to make fun of me.
I rolled my eyes at her as I smiled back. "Shut up," I blushed, I had no comeback. She patted the place on the bed next to her, ushering for me to take my seat. I sat about a foot from her, back against the wall, legs criss cross applesauce. She noticed but it was visible how much she tried not to comment on it. I ignored her giggle, leaving the applesauce subject in the past.
"How's Leigh?" wasn't something I expected her to say, but she did. Having Billie in Cleveland for the past week has made me completely forget about Leigh. I've been so excited to see her. Who even is Leigh if Billie Eilish is texting me from 20 minutes down the road?
"We haven't talked in forever," I answered after taking a moment to remember who she was talking about. She looked confused.
"Wait I thought you guys were like a thing," she replied with an eyebrow raised. "Don't you like her?" she must've misunderstood me when I opened up to her that one time.
"Um..." I didn't even know where to start correcting her. "Fuck that bitch," I joked after a moment. I put Forensic Files on to avoid her concerned reaction. No reasoning behind my choice, it was the first thing I saw.
"I ended it with her like a month ago, I thought I told you that," I eventually explained after Forensic Files started.
"I'm so fucking confused," she laughed with such a cute confusion expressed across her face. Ugh. I tried to clearly explain what I was talking about when I first confessed how I felt regarding Leigh. I repeated that I just missed being with somebody, and I still do, but Leigh wasn't right for me.
She nodded in understanding. Before she changed the subject, I took the moment to ask about her love life. I was nosy as fuck now. I thought we were noticeably flirting for the past month, but I guess she didn't see it like that. I took a minute to remind myself: she's straight.
"I'm talking to that guy again, the one from the restaurant," she put "talking" in air quotes, but she smiled at the thought of it. My heart instantly dropped out of my asshole, I felt so awful, any hope instantly left my brain. It felt like I was shot.
But there was no way I would show my disappointment, I raised my eyebrows, "and how's that going? I thought he was a douche", my tone sounded a little distressed but she seemed not to notice. I needed to know more, this probably wasn't healthy but I needed to know.
"He is, but a bitch got needs," she joked as she blushed. Ew. I mean relatable, but ew. "Just kidding, I'm honestly kinda in the same place as you. And I'm just bored as fuck. Bored plus lonely equals 'talking' to the douche," she explained as she shrugged, laughing it off.
I laughed it off as well, "I feel you."
She went on to steal the remote and put The Office on once the conversation was really over.
Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck. This must be the friend zone.
I promise it'll be worth it in the end guys lmao keep reading
