You caught up with Sal and Larry to walk home with them, as usual.

"Hey, Travis is gonna hang out with us tonight if that's ok."

Sal and Larry both looked at you like you were insane.

"You're not serious, are you?" Sal asked.

"I am." You replied.

Larry groaned and said "no."

"That's a bit dramatic Larry. Guys, listen. I talked to him, and he's not gonna be a dick this time."

"Ok, but, that's exactly what you said last time." Sal said.

"Please just trust me? All that you have to do is deal with him for one day, and then you can decide whether or not he can join the gang."

"Woah woah woah, join the gang? No way. Nope. Not ever. Not in a million years." Larry said.

"Fine, he doesn't have to join the gang, but will you please at least give him a chance?"

Larry gave another exasperated groan and said "Ok, but he is NOT going anywhere near the tree house."

"And," Sal added, "if he beats me up again then he isn't allowed to hang out with us anymore."

"That's valid." You replied, glad you could come to an agreement with them.

-- also, now it's in Travis's pov --

Travis tried his best to remember which room was Y/N's. He was sure it was either 403 or 404. First he knocked on 403, but nobody answered. Then he tried 404. He was kind of relieved when he saw Y/N open the door. He was starting to worry if he was even on the right floor.

"Hey." Y/N said with a small smile. They let Travis inside.

"Sal and Larry are here, but Ash couldn't make it. She has to baby sit her brother. She might come later though." Y/N continued.

"Cool." Travis said.

"Hey guys, Travis is here." Y/N said to Larry and Sal.

Sal said "Hi." rather quietly, and Larry just gave him a nod.

"So, what do you guys want to do?" Y/N asked.

"It's starting to get warmer out, we could go swimming in the lake." Larry suggested.

"Yeah, that works." Y/N said.

And so they all went swimming. Well, all of them except Sal. He just kind of sat next to the water. Over all things seemed to be going good. Larry was no longer only referring to him as "Phelps", and Sal seemed significantly less sheepish around him.

After a while, the water started to get cold so they headed back to the apartments. While they were walking, Larry said, "Do you guys want to go and hangout in my tree house or something?" Y/N smiled at him and said "Sure." Larry smiled back.

Travis noticed that it didn't really hurt anymore when they smiled at eachother.

"Oh, get a room you guys." Sal said. Travis smiled at his comment.

They hung out in Larry's treehouse for a while, before it got dark and Travis had to go home.

While walking home, Travis caught himself smiling while thinking about the events of the day. Or, more specifically, the events with Sal. Except for when he was beating him up. When he felt his cheeks heat up, though, he almost stopped in his tracks.

Fuck. He thought. Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck FUCK. There's no way that I actually- No. Father raised me better than that.

He told himself that, but he knew it was a lie. Just when he thought his feelings were going to go back to normal, he goes and gets himself another crush. Fucking great.
