It had been about a week since Sal had last seen Travis. He was kind of worried. Neither Larry nor Y/N had seen him either.
Sal was hanging out with Larry and Y/N at the park. Y/N had dared Larry to try and fit into one of the baby swings, but he had gotten stuck as Sal predicted. They were trying to get him unstuck when Sal saw a familiar pink shirt from the corner of his eye. He turned around and saw Travis.
"I'll be right back guys." He said as he walked towards Travis.
"Hey, Travis. Where've you been?" Sal asked.
"I can't talk, I'm sorry." Travis said quietly, looking at the ground.
"Oh. Do you wanna hang out later then?"
"I can't."
Sal put the two pieces together and said, "Did your dad do something?"
Travis stopped walking and sighed. "I can't tell you right now, I can't be seen talking to you. Meet me behind the Dollar General in like half an hour or something."
"Ok. Um... See ya later then." Sal said. Travis didn't respond as he was already walking away.
Sal returned to Y/N and Larry. Larry had gotten one of his legs unstuck, but he had fallen face first onto the ground as a result.
About half an hour later, Sal waited for Travis behind the Dollar General. He didn't half a good feeling about any of this. After a couple minutes, he saw Travis come around the corner.
"Hey dude." Sal said.
"Hey." Travis said.
"So what's up?" Sal asked.
"Well, long story short, I'm not allowed to talk to you anymore."
"What? That's stupid."
"I know."
"I'm guessing that this is your dads fault then?"
"Yeah."
They were quiet for a moment while Sal thought of what to do.
"That's it." He finally said. "I'm adopting you."
"What?" Travis asked, smiling.
"Effective of right now, you are no longer your fathers child. You are mine."
Travis laughed with Sal.
"Ok, seriously though, you are moving in with me."
"Wait, actually?"
"Yes bitch, come on." Sal said as he began to walk back to the apartments.
"Wait, I can just do that?" Travis asked.
"I mean, there's nothing stopping you. Plus, there's literally not a single downside to moving in with me. You get away from your dad, and you get to hang out with me Larry and Y/N all the time."
Travis thought about it. If his dad found him, he would literally kill him. But, if his dad did find him, who says he has to go back?
"Alright, that seems cool." Travis said.
Sal smiled and said "Cool."

"Dad, Travis is living with us now."
"What?" Henry said groggily, waking up from his nap on the couch.
"Travis is living with us now."
"Hi." Travis said awkwardly.
"hmmm." Henry mumbled, falling back asleep.
"He'll probably be fine with it." Sal said quietly, as to not wake his dad.
"What if he's not though?" Travis asked as they entered Sal's room.
"I don't know. Maybe you can crash with Larry or Y/N or something? But he will most likely be alright with it."
"Hopefully."
