(A/N: I'm really sorry about this chapter, it's choppy and doesn't make sense and I think it's my least favorite one. I'm also sorry if I got anything wrong, it's been a minute since I've watched the playthrough.)
Sal and Travis were walking around the park together. There wasn't really anybody else there.
Travis wasn't entirely sure if they were dating or not. He didn't really know how to ask either. He was lost in thought when a tall figure caught his eye. He felt his heart drop.
"Who's that?" Sal asked. He noticed how uneasy Travis had gotten.
"I think it's somebody who works with my dad..." Travis said, his eyes still fixated on the man.
"We should go." Sal said, standing up. The figure was getting closer and closer, and something really didn't feel right.
"Yeah." Travis said, also standing up.
"Wait." The man said. He was now less than six feet away from them.
Travis and Sal were both stunned in silence. They didn't know what to do. All they could do is hope that this man wasn't a threat.
"I'm here to help you. I'll explain everything." He continued.
"Who are you?" Sal asked.
"My name is Timothy. I am an undercover member of the Devourers of God. My former partners and I were working to learn more about the cult and disassemble it."
Travis and Sal were both confused. Who were the Devourers of God? What happened to his partners? What did any of this have to do with them?
"I'm sure you both have many questions. I'll try to keep this simple." Timothy said. "Basically, according to a prophecy, Sal is going to overthrow the cult. The leader of the cult, your father, Travis, had attempted to kill Sal when he was a small child, but it resulted in the death of his mother instead.
"Now that Sal has 'corrupted' you in Kenneth's eyes, he is after the both of you. Currently he is interrogating Henry about whether or not he has seen Travis. I don't believe that he is telling Kenneth anything that would help him find either of you, but I still wouldn't go back to your apartment just yet."Travis and Sal were shocked. None of this seemed real.
"Where are we supposed to go?" Sal finally inquired.
"I'd suggest that you go to Larry Johnson's house, although that might be where Kenneth would go next." Timothy replied.
"How do you know Larry?" Travis asked.
"I knew his father, Jim. He was one of my partners. Me, him, and James..." Timothy said with a reminiscent smile.
"What happened to them?" Sal asked.
Timothy hesitated, wondering if he had told them too much. He continued, despite this, saying "They died. James of a heroin overdose, and Jim of..." he sighed. "Anyways boys, the point is that you are in danger. I have to go now, I've stayed too long."
Timothy walked away before they could say anything to protest.
The two started walking back towards the apartments. They were mostly quiet, as they were still trying to process everything.
"So basically," Sal said, "Your dad is a cult leader and I have to take down the cult. And Larry's dad was in the cult with this guy named Timothy and this other guy named James, but now Timothy is the only one alive."
"Yeah. That's fucking insane." Travis said.
"How are we gonna break it to Larry that his dad is dead?" Sal asked.
"I say we just tell him. He'll be upset either way, but I think he'd be more upset if he found out we were keeping it from him." Travis replied.
"Yeah." Sal said. He was quiet for a second, then said "How do we even know that we can trust Timothy?"
"I don't know."
