You were making your way on the long trip to California. By now you were in Pennsylvania. It felt kind of nice to be back in your home state, although the circumstances weren't very adequate.
You were walking down the road of a small town, not too much unlike Nockfell. It was a pretty nice day outside.
Up ahead, you saw a small playground with baby swings.
"I'll be right back." You said to the other three as you made your way to the park.
When you got there, you just kind of looked at the swings for a second. Then you sat on one of them. You were a very sentimental and emotional person. You remembered the time in Nockfell when you had dared Larry to try and fit into the baby swings and a melancholy smile crossed your expression. You felt tears prick your eyes. You quickly wiped them away, only for them to return.
Your head jerked up as you heard the sound of somebody walking towards you. You wiped away the tears hastily, afraid that whoever it was would see you crying.
But it was just Larry.
You still didn't want him to see you crying.
"What's up?" He asked, sitting down on the swing next to you.
"Nothing." You said, looking down at your shoes.
You hesitated for a moment and then said, "Never mind, I lied."
"I thought so. What's on your mind?" He asked.
You sighed and said, "All of this is just so overwhelming. I mean, I don't think I'm ready to move across the country. I don't think any of us are. I just wanna go back to the way things were, you know? I wanna smoke dope with you in the treehouse and go swimming at the lake. I want to finish highschool. You realize that none of us are gonna finish highschool, right? Unless we can enroll in LA, but I have no idea how to enroll into a highschool. Is that even how it works?" By the time you finished, you were crying.
Larry grabbed your hand and said, "I know dude. I want nothing more in the world than to be in the treehouse with you right now, getting stoned out of our minds. But we have to do this, not only for our safety, but everybody else's. If we had stayed, we would've been killed, and then everybody else would've too. I know it's hard, seriously. This shit sucks massive wang. But we're gonna get through it. Me, you, Travis, and Sal. We got this dude."
You smiled and hugged him.
Larry gently wiped of the remainder of your tears and said, "Come on, let's go catch up with Sal and Travis."
(A/N: aaah sorry it's so short)
