(A/N: Ignore the title please, it's 5 in the morning)

"You four must be starving," Elise said, after a while of driving. "I'll go inside this gas station and get us some pizza or something."

As soon as Larry saw her walk inside, he started looking through the glovebox.

"What are you doing?" You asked.

"I'm looking for something." He replied, waving you away.

"And what exactly are you looking for?" You asked.

Larry turned around and gave you a look that said "you know exactly what I'm looking for" then turned back to the glovebox.

"Larry, stop it. Elise has been nothing but kind to us, and now you're trying to take her money. We're criminals enough already!" You protested.

Larry said, "We need money, and we don't have any. I don't know about you, but I don't want to sleep in a random field again. I'd prefer to not wind up with ticks and fleas and whatever else lives in fields."

"Then maybe you could ask her for money instead?" You said.

"You can't just ask people for money." Travis interjected.

"Yes you can." Sal said. "Y/N's right, Larry. You shouldn't be stealing money from Elise. She probably needs it."

"So do we." Larry said, now going through her purse after the glovebox turned out to be fruitless.

"Don't go through her purse Larry!" You said snatching the purse away from him. But you were a bit too late, as he had already grabbed Elise's wallet from the purse and was looking in it.

"Why did she leave her wallet if she was going inside to get food?" Travis asked.

"Who cares? It's our money now." Larry said, taking the money.

You were astonished at how little Larry cared that he was stealing from a woman who had been very hospitable to him.

Sal sighed and said, "At least leave some for Elise?"

"Wait, you really thought I was gonna leave her completely empty handed? I'm not that much of an asshole. I'll be the first to admit that I'm an asshole, but I'm not that much of an asshole. Larry said as he put the money in his pocket and got out of the car. "Now let's dip before she comes back for her wallet."

You got out of the car with Sal and Travis, but you still couldn't believe Larry. At least he left some money for Elise.

"I think I saw a motel a couple roads over." Travis said.

The four of you made your way to the motel and ended up getting one room with two beds. Sal and Travis shared one, and so did you and Larry.

It was late at night, but you couldn't sleep. After a while of turning restlessly, you sat up and sighed. You went into the small kitchen and got a cup of lukewarm water. You had heard the boys talking about how water tasted good late at night, but you didn't see the appeal. To you, it tasted way worse late at night.

After a few minutes of just gazing off into space, you heard somebody join you in the kitchen. You were startled out of your trance, but calmed down when you saw it was just Sal.

"Hey." You said.

"Hey." He replied, sitting down at the small table.

You knew that Sal had trouble sleeping and stuff, and it occurred to you that he also probably wasn't having the best time without his medications.

"Hard time sleeping?" You asked.

"Yeah." He said.

"Same." You said.

You were both quiet for a bit, then Sal asked, "What's got you up?"

"I don't know. I think I just feel really guilty for taking Elise's money. I mean, I didn't take her money, but this is all still out of her pocket." You said.

"Yeah, I feel you." Sal said. "I know she was trying to be nice, and she was pretty nice, but I got a weird vibe from her. Something just seemed- off."

"I guess she did ask a lot of questions, but it was a pretty long drive, and she was probably just trying to make conversation." You rationalized.

You gave Sal a light pat on the head and said "Alright, I'm gonna try and go back to bed. See ya tomorrow brother."

"See ya." He responded.

You ended up getting a little bit of sleep, but you weren't very happy when you had to wake up at the crack of dawn to get going.
