"How's the weather up there, Johnson?"
"Shut it Phelps."
After the dance, Travis had kind of gone back to his old self. He went back to all the homophobic slurs for Sal and Ash, and all the completely original tall jokes for Larry. He hadn't really said anything rude to you though. In fact, he hadn't really said anything to you at all.
You saw Travis as you were leaving Science, and you tried to catch up with him.
"Hey, Travis." You said.
He ignored you.
"Travis, wait up." You said. Maybe he didn't hear you the first time.
He still didn't say anything.
You got right beside him and said "Hey dude, what's up?"
He had to be purposely ignoring you at this point. He didn't even look at you.
"Travis?"
"Just leave me alone!" He yelled, causing some nearby students to look at you and him. He walked away at a faster pace.
You wondered if you should let it be at that. He obviously doesn't want to talk, but he was being a bitch and needed to explain himself. Did he need to explain himself? Yes. He needed to explain himself.
You caught up with him again and said "I'm not just going to leave you alone. You made a promise to me and now you are acting like you barely even know me. What the hell dude?"
Travis glared at you for a moment, but then he sighed and his expression softened.
"You're right, I'm sorry. It's just-"
He paused, wondering if he should continue.
"It's just that I really like you Y/N, and I was going to ask you out to the dance but then Mr. tree man had to get in the way. I'm really sorry. I should've just told you, but now everybody probably hates me all over again."
"It's alright dude. I'm sure the gang will forgive you. In fact, I want you to meet them. Like, actually meet them."
"I don't know Y/N, that seems like a bad idea..."
"And why is that? Give me one good reason."
"Because I may or may not have just verbally and/or physically assaulted Sal."
They were quiet for a moment, just kind of looking at eachother.
"Really?"
"Yeah..."
They were quiet again.
"That's super not cool dude. But, still. Please at least consider it?"
Travis let out a dramatic, elongated sigh to show that he was unhappy with the idea, but said "Fine."
"Thanks, you won't regret it." You said with a smile before going to get your things to leave.
