Epilogue

"Kumusta na po siya, Doc?" I heard a familiar voice.

So, nasa ospital pala ako?

Nakalabas na ako?

"She's in a stable condition na, Sir. Magigising na siya ano mang oras."

"Sige, Doc. Salamat po" I heard the sound of opening and closing of the door.

The room was filled by silence. I tried to remember what happened to me at bakit nandito ako sa ospital.

Doon na nag-flashback lahat ng nangyari sa Academy at ang pagkakabaril sa akin.

Si Gio.

I slowly opened my eyes. Bumungad sakin ang isang hospital room. Sa gilid ko ay may mga prutas and even flowers.

Lumabas siguro si Daddy dahil wala akong kasama ngayon dito. Hinawakan ko ang tiyan ko dahil alam kong doon ako tinamaan ng baril.

May mga bandages din ako sa may paa ko dahil sa mga small wounds. Nakaswero din ako maybe because of dehydration.

I heaved a deep sighed. Inayos ko sandali ang higaan ko para makasandal ako.

Hindi ko alam kung ilang araw na ang nakakalipas nang mangyari 'yon. Gusto ko sanang lumabas pero medyo kumikirot pa rin ang sugat ko sa tiyan.

My phone got my attention. Nasa side table lang din ito kasama ng mga fruits and flowers.

Kinuha ko ito at binuksan. Tiningnan ko ang date and almost three days na rin pala ang nakalipas.

I surfed on the internet specially on the news sites. Trending pa rin hanggang ngayon ang nangyari sa Academy.

The President is now being investigated by what happened. Wanted din ngayon ang secretary ni Mr. Nakamoto. Even Principal Kagami is in the hotseat dahil may kinalaman pa rin siya dito.

I opened my facebook account. Ime-message ko sana sina Gio and Marie but I realized na hindi ko pala sila friend dito sa Facebook.

Nag-scroll na lang muna ako sa feed ko habang wala pa si Daddy. Kumuha pa ako ng isang apple sa tabi ko dahil medyo nagugutom na ako.

Hoping that daddy will bring some food. I am literally starving na since almost three days ata akong unconscious.

I stopped on a shared post by a friend. Picture ito ng mga tao, maybe parents na nasa loob ng academy at may mga hawak na kandila.

The next photos showed them putting candles on every room where students have died.

On the last photo, they are holding a banner saying 'Justice for our children' while the others are holding the photos of their children.

I shared the posts and my notifications boomed with reacts and comments while eating my apples.

They are all asking how I am. What happened. Where Am I. Etc. Etc.

Binasa ko lahat ng iyon at nireplyan isa isa. Most of them are my relatives and friends from other school.

I stopped when I saw a familiar name on my notification.

'Gio Leonel sent you a friend request'

I immediately clicked the confirm botton. I saw Marie's name when I scrolled over my friend requests. I even saw Patrick's name and some of my classmates.

I accepted both Marie and Patrick's friend request.

Suddenly, I got notified with a messenge.
