Chapter 10

A loud knock on my door woke me up from my peaceful sleep. I switched on my lamp as I checked the little alarm clock by my bedside table, it read 4:00 am in the morning. I rubbed my eyes and let out a groan as I put on a robe and walked over to open the door. I don't care whoever it was out there but this better be some good news, once I opened the door I was met with Natalia's face which was stricken with worry.

Alarm bells were ringing in my mind as I thought of many dangerous scenarios in my head. What if my parents were in danger? What if someone died? What if we're under attack?

Natalia cleared her throat before speaking. "I'm sorry for waking you up but this is big news. Our parents have apparently booked us all a boat trip to Mykonos today and the boat leaves at seven but they failed to mention it until a few hours ago. The suitors are meant to be coming too."

After hearing the somewhat normal news my heart rate began to slow down before I replied. "So you're telling me we go to Mykonos today? But the suitors don't know anything about it. What are we going to do?"

You see the palace we were staying at was in Santorini and Mykonos was a bit far but I was excited to visit it. The only problem was the suitors. They had no clue and some of them woke up as late as 10:00 am for breakfast so that meant we had to wake them up right now so they would know and try to get ready before then.

"Alex, Angel and Nikolai are still asleep so you can go wake them up and then start knocking on the suitors door, I'll start on the rooms on the right side of hallway, you can do the left side," Natti explained and headed back outside to get the suitors up.

Great I have the pleasure of waking up Alex and Nikolai. Angel would be easy since she's a light sleeper but Alex and Nik, they're impossible to wake up, especially Alex. Nonetheless I shut my room and banged loudly on Nik and Angels room. Yawning and rubbing her eyes in front of me stood a half-asleep Angel.

"What's up?" She asked groggily. "Is everyone alright?"

"Everything's fine. Only there's been a slight change of plans." I replied and explained everything Natti told me. Angel was wide awake by the time I was done and she promised she'd wake up Nik so I left her to it whilst I prepared myself to wake up Alex.

Alex always leaves his balcony doors opened whilst sleeping so instead of banging on his door, which is what I normally would've done, I walked out into my balcony and tried jumping over the small fence that separated both of our balconies. I said tried because I fell down at first but once I tried again I was over. Sneakily I tiptoed into his room where he lay sleeping with his mouth open which gave me an idea.

I grabbed a banana from the bowl of fruits on the table, peeled it and plopped a chunk into his mouth whilst getting a water bottle and pouring all the water on his face. Needless to say my method worked and he was up. Surprisingly he ate the banana. In his goddamn sleep, who does that?

"What do you want woman!" He exclaimed. He was still not awake yet so I decided to pinch his arm.

"Alex we have to get ready," I stated and then told him the same thing I told Angel. He gave me a salty look before jumping out of bed and running up to me and swung his arms around me pulling me down on the floor, thank god it was carpet or I would've died.

"Alex you will the death of me someday," I muttered before walking off and leaving him to get ready.

After that incident I went around knocking on the doors of some of the suitors whilst Natti did the same. There was a range of expressions ranging from baffled to annoyed to shocked to worried. There were the odd few who looked so scared they thought I was here to send them home but everyone calmed down and understood when I told them about today's plan.
