Chapter 25

Rafael was starting to warm up to me, and I to him. However, whenever he tried to tell me about my abilities and dreams something always came up: either I fainted, suddenly blacked out or some of the suitors showed up.

Whoever was playing these tricks didn't want me to know anything but I was determined to find out one way or another. Hence I spent most of my free time cooped up in my secret library, researching every tiny detail that I remembered from my memory and Natalia's transformation.

"Oh my god, did you see that?" Liam whispered, breaking me out of my thoughts.

Currently I was with Liam in the cinema room along with Nik and Angel. We were watching 'The Little Mermaid' because Nik literally begged us to watch it, he acted like such a child sometimes.

"Mm yeah. It was," I paused. "Quite something." I had no idea what part of the movie was playing because my mind couldn't concentrate on the movie. It was more focused on my moments with Rafael.

Nik turned to give me a disappointed look. "Ursula took Ariel's voice, that's not just something."

I rolled my eyes in annoyance at Nik's comment before snuggling into Liam. He smelt so good!

The movie was nearing the end and my eyelids were drooping with fatigue. I tried everything in my willpower to keep my eyes open but I gave up.

"Seriously Nina!" Nik exclaimed loudly causing me to bolt straight up from my relaxed position. Next to him Angel shook her head in amusement. "How can you even think about sleeping during the ending?"

Besides me Liam gave out a low chuckle but quickly stopped once he saw the stern expression on my face.

"I couldn't sleep last night," I reasoned.

Worry crawled it's way onto Liam's face. "Oh is everything okay? Is something bothering you?"

"Everything's fine." I stated. "I was just up all night reading, nothing's bothering me at all. Don't worry Liam." I put my hand on his in reassurance, my heart beating frantically at Liam's concern for me.

He gave me a swift nod before continuing to watch the last few minutes of the movie.

Nik tapped me on the shoulder. "Angel wants to talk to you after this." I was sitting in the middle of Nik and Liam, on the other side of Nik was Angel.

"Tell her to stay in this room for a little while longer after the movie's finished. We'll walk to the royals library together and talk there," I replied. Nik nodded his head before whispering away to Angel.

I had a few minutes to think to myself. Should I tell Liam about Rafael being in the picture too? Or should I just keep it a secret? I settled on keeping it a secret for a few days.

The room suddenly turned bright as the lights switched back on, notifying me that the movie had finally ended.

I let out a long yawn and stretched my arms and legs. "That was exhausting," I whispered quietly to myself. Don't get me wrong I loved the movie but I had seen it too many times with Nik as a child that it became boring.

"Well, I will see you tomorrow," Liam said. He kissed my cheek and exited the cinema, walking towards the suitors' quarters.

"I'll see you later Angel," Nik spoke, copying Liam's actions as he gave Angel a kiss on her cheek and walked away in the opposite direction from Liam.
