Something was going to happen.

Me, Elijah, Liam, Ross and Ahmed were all instructed to meet at Natalia's room after dinner. Currently it was 8:30pm and everyone had finished their dinner early so they were in their separate rooms. Since yesterday when our tea party had been crashed by the uninvited guest of nature, I've had a sinking feeling in my stomach that something was going to happen. A bad thing.

"Let's watch some funny YouTube videos and see who laughs first," Elijah suggested.

Elijah was in my room because during dinner he told me that he hardly gets enough time alone with me and me, being the amazing person I am, invited him to watch movies until it was time to meet at Natti's room.

"Oh it's on!" I replied. "Let's make it harder by having water in our mouth too."

I scurried around the room in a hurry trying to find some water bottles. Turns out my suitcase carried five unopened water bottles from Spain. My parents were royal and because of that we were allowed to bring liquids over.

In the meantime Elijah browsed the internet to find a good YouTube video.

"Aha I found just the thing to make you laugh. A compilation of a YouTuber called 'KSI' laughing. I bet you won't be able to resist." He exclaimed buzzing with excitement.

What he said turned out to be true. Within a minute all the water in my mouth shot out onto my clothes. Throughout the whole video I was laughing so much that my stomach started hurting and tears streamed down my face. On the other hand Elijah supported a neutrally calm expression on his face. By the time the video was over I was drenched in water.

"I knew I'd win!" Elijah said triumphantly.

"But how did you not laugh. Not even once?" I questioned.

"A true winner never spills the beans," he replied with a wink.

Just then I realised how close we were. Both of our faces were an inch away from connecting. Elijah stared deeply into my eyes as I took in his chiselled features and handsome face. Then he began leaning in.

I was going to kiss a suitor. The first one! My heart was beating frantically at our close proximity.

I was just about to move closer and join our mouths but it didn't happen. Instead a knock broke us apart right when we were about to kiss.

Awkwardly I got up from the sofa. "I should get that."

Elijah nodded and gave me a smirk before winking. "I guess you should. But you don't have to."

Rolling my eyes I walked across my room and opened the door, interested to see who decided to interrupt us.

"What are you doing? Natalia is frustrated at both you and Elijah. You're both late. Do you even know where he is?" Ahmed rambled on.

The meeting with Natalia completely slipped my mind and it must've slipped Elijah's too otherwise he would've reminded me. I was going to lie about Elijah still being in his room and sleeping. But alas, things weren't going my way.

"Nina who is it?" Elijah shouted from the back of my room. Ahmed's face turned neutral at the sound of Elijah's voice. I thought he was going to be hurt and walk away, however, he gave me a wink and told me to hurry up. Then he just skipped away.

Well that certainly was weird.

"Let's go, we're late to Natti's meeting and I don't want to give everyone the wrong impression." I answered, completely ignoring Elijah's question.
