Later on a voice cut the conversation. "Ladies and gentlemen please get ready for the twist! Get your dancing shoes on and make your way to the dance floor as we welcome 'Leejai the Deejai' to give us some fresh tunes."

On cue the fairy lights and candles flickered off and were replaced with a big, round disco ball. The Dj snapped into character as he remixed famous songs which blasted loudly from the speakers.

The crowds of suitors went crazy as they whistled and howled in response, ready to party the night away. Different colours of the spectrum glowed in the dark around people's arms and necks as the hall was filled with loud music.

"Care for a dance my lady?" Offered a voice from behind me. I turned around to meet Rafael.

Even though I desperately wanted my first dance with Liam this time I had to agree with Rafael's offer because Liam was no where to be found, again. Rafael led me to the dancefloor where most of the suitors were already busting moves.

Whilst dancing me and Rafael had somehow managed to make our way to the front of the crowd. Ever since I was young I always loved dancing and now I was at the front with many people looking at me so I decided to improvise. I looked at Rafael before raising my arms in the air and moving my feet to the rhythm. Along with that I swayed my hips on beat and shook my head in excitement. I took a peek to see Rafael's reaction and was satisfied when I saw him staring at me with astonishment and shock sprawled across his face.

At the front 'Leejai the Deejai' noticed my enthusiastic moves and beckoned for me to join him on the stage where I asked for the song 'Fire' by Jena Gogo to be played. Once the familiar tune started playing I began dancing.

When I started dancing I got lost in the rhythm of the music, I twirled and danced effortlessly even though dancing in a gown was pretty impossible but the slit in the dress helped me move freely. Once the beat changed I added some ballet moves: pirouettes. After I stopped the whole room had become quiet, except the music which was slowly starting to fade as it marked the end of the song.

Was I really that awful?

But before another thought came into my mind, the entire hall erupted with applause. I noticed the proud looks on my siblings and friends as they cheered loudly. Bowing in gratitude I made my way back down to Rafael's side.

He cleared his throat whilst he looked at me in amazement. "Nina, you were brilliant up there, where did you learn to dance like that?"

"Gracias Rafael!" I stated. "My parents made me join ballet classes a few years ago and I guess the moves just stuck, I must admit I like dancing occasionally. Not all the time though!" Both of us laughed at the last part. Rafael moved closer to brush away the loose strands of my hair from my face, his thumb grazed slightly on my burning cheeks and his touch gave me a sudden touch of electricity. I stared into his eyes and he stared into mines.

Rafael was about to say something when the abrupt sound of loud music cut him off, and Liam stumbled his way in front of us.

"May I have the pleasure to dance with you?" Liam whispered into my ears, sending tingles down my spine. I flinched in response before excusing myself away from Rafael and going back with Liam towards the back of the hall which was a little quieter. A look of betrayal was apparent on Rafael's face, he was disappointed. No! He was hurt, but he masked his expression with a smile before waving me off, leaving me to wonder what Rafael was going to tell me.
