Chapter 20 - Ready?

Myrrh's POV

Now that our stay-cation trip was over. Back to normal na ulit kami. From our work to our usual get-together sa Restobar ni Wil.

It's only been a week.

One whole week na trabaho, bahay at trabaho lang ang routine ko.
One whole week na 'No Renzo' na biglang susulpot sa apartment ko.
No text. No call. No deliveries.

Which is really a good thing cause I don't want anything from him.

But it's also a one whole week without Drei's presence. Nothing. Really.
Kahit ngayon nga ay absent ito sa get-together namin.

"Yul? May flight pa rin ba si Nico? This is the longest time na nagtake over ulit siya ng flight ah. Akala ko ba, he'll focus more sa company?" Jasia asked

So, he's into flight pala ulit?

"Sa pagkakatanda ko, he'll be back on Tuesday. Dumeretso na din kasi si Nico sa isang convetion ng client namin sa Chicago." Yul

"Akala ko naman he's working on 'how to confess' dun sa girl na sinabi niya sa atin nung bakasyon." Maddy said

"Oo nga pala. How true is that? Sigurado kayong wala kayong idea kung sino 'yon?" Jasia asked

Umiling-iling si Vin. Nagkibit-balikat naman si Wil, while Yul laugh then nod.

"Really huh? Ganun ka-secretive si Nico even sa inyo?" Jasia asked in disbelief

"Well ladies, tulad ninyo, may mga ilang bagay din kaming di agad sinasabi sa bawat isa." Vin

"I thought men don't do such things." Lyn

"Chief naman.. we're not the 'kiss and tell' type." Yul said

Upon hearing that, I sigh secretly.
Meaning, wala pang ngang pinagsasabihan si Drei sa nangyari sa amin, even to Yul- his very bestfriend.

"Good thing then." Lyn said

"Kilala naman ninyo kami." Wil said

"Sabagay." Maddy agreed

"By the way Myrrh? Until now di ko pa nakikita 'yung new car mo? Kelan natin i-night ride iyon?" Jasia asked

"Ah.. Nasa shop. Pina-check up ko. Bihira ko din kasi gamitin kaya pina-ensure ko muna 'yung makina." Ako

That! Kailangan ko na nga palang makuha iyon kay Drei!

Pero bigla ding bumalik sa alaala ko ang sinabi nito sa akin noong unang beses na tinangka kung kunin na ito sa kanya.

"If you want to get it back, I want you to personally come." Drei

"You can take it or leave it there. It's up to you, Canary." Drei

"That's my deal, Canary. Kung ready ka na, tsaka na tayo ulit mag-usap." Drei

Lihim aking napapikit.

'Am I ready to talk about it?'

[Why not? It's been a month already.]

Napailing ako sa bulong na iyon ng isipan ko.

"Okay ka lang Myrrh?" Lyn asked

"Ha? Ah oo. May bigla lang akong naalala." Ako

I forgot that I'm still with my friends.

"Sino? 'Yung ex-bf mo?" Vin asked teasingly. Siniko naman ito ni Maddy kaya agad nag-peace sign sa akin

"Of course not. Hindi ko na siya iniisip no?" I said
