Chapter Eleven:

A sigh of relief left me as I walked out of the dealership. After three different places, and all of my morning wasted talking over the fine print, I finally found a vehicle. I had ended up going a little over my budget as far as what I wanted to put into a vehicle right now. But it would pay off in the long run. The rental I was driving now wasn't due back till monday so I opted to have the dealership register my car and deliver it to me monday.

Glancing down at my phone when I climbed into my car. Answering a few texts that had popped up before glancing at the time on the dashboard. Groaning softly when I noticed it was already almost one. Still having to run to the grocery store to grab stuff for dinner and a few odds and ends that I needed.

It was a little before three when I managed to finish what I had to and return home. Glancing at the time on the stove once I finished putting everything away. Biting my lip gently as I thought of what to do first. Finally deciding a shower would probably be best. It would give me time to blow dry my hair out as well. After grabbing a clean bra, underwear and the jeans I wanted to wear, i made my way into the bathroom. Taking the time to make sure my legs were shaved after I finished washing my hair and body. Once I was finished and dried off, I pulled on the clothes, wincing slightly when I accidently snapped the bra strap against my shoulder.

I never really spent the time blow drying my hair to much. Mainly cause it would always take forever to do so and my patience was already on the thin side. After about twenty minutes, my hair was finally dry and for the most part straight. Running my fingers through my hair as I watched my reflection in the mirror. Making a mental note to make an appointment with a hair dresser to touch up on the color and maybe a trim before starting my makeup. Not bothering with to much, just a subtle smokey eye and a soft pink lip gloss. When I walked back into my room I grabbed a soft grey cami and pulled it on. Rummaging through my closet before finding a dark grey plaid button up and pulling it on, leaving the buttons undone, but rolled up the sleeves to my elbow.

As I was walking back towards the kitchen to get started on dinner, my phone started to ring from my pocket. Quickly pulling it out and checking the notification to find out my parents were trying to face time. Glancing into my living room and jogging over to the coffee table to grab my ipad. I hated doing video calls on my phone. Flipping the cover over to reveal the same notification popping up. I hit the accept call as I made my way into the kitchen. My mom's face popped up on the screen, causing a huge smile to break out on my lips.

"Thea Fraiser... Why haven't you called your mother?" She stated, a mock look of disproval on her face.

My eyes rolled as I set the ipad up on the docking station I had on the counter top. "Maybe because I have a life?" I teased, sticking my tongue out at her. "Hi to you too by the way."

"Your life, is my life." She said with a shake of her head. "How's everything going out there?"

I moved towards the fridge and grabbed what I needed to get a salad ready. Grabbing a bowl from one of the cabinets. Reposistioning the ipad when I stepped up to the counter top and glanced over at my mother as I shrugged.

"Life's going. I just brought a car, normally working, have a few friends. I miss you guys though." I said as I started to cut up a few vegetables once I tossed a mix of lettuce into the bowl.

"Oh sweetie, we miss you too. " She said before glancing at something off the screen. "Are you coming for thanksgiving this year?"

Shaking my head at her question as I dropped the sliced cucumbers into the salad. "I can't. I already requested the time off for Christmas to come down. Not really able to afford to take two trips so close together. "
