Sweet Beginnings (Damien Haas)

Chapter Three:

My alarm went off far to early, breaking me out of a deep sleep. Groaning softly as I rolled over turn my alarm off before sitting up. Rubbing the sleep from my eyes as I stood up and walked into the bathroom. Quickly using the bathroom before washing my hands and looking up at the mirror, grimacing at the state of my hair. Reach for the brush that sat on the shelves next to the sink before running it through my hair. Grimacing when the brush ripped through a few knots. It didn't take long to get my hair smoothed out and braided. I only put on some mascara and eyeliner knowing full well between the sun screen and possibly sweating it'd be pointless to do to much. 

I made my way back to my room, pulling open the closet doors to dig through my clothes. Deciding on a pair of jean shorts and a black and white Vans tank top. Picking up a black backpack that sat in the back of the closet before turning and walking towards my bed. I made sure to shove what i needed for the day in, double checking that my wallet was in the front pocket before grabbing my sneakers and putting them on. My phone pinged from in my pocket. I pulled it out as I was walking out of the apartment. Noticing the text from Courtney 

**Good morning sunshine!! Making a coffee run before I meet you guys, want anything??**

I quickly typed my reply while climbing into my car. 

**An Iced Coffee will be great! Just some milk and sugar in it please. **

The drive to the smosh offices was quick. I pulled in right as Shayne was pulling in fron the opposite direction. I pulled into an empty spot and shut off the vehicle before climbing out. Grabbing my backpack from the back seat and slung the straps over my shoulders. Shayne threw his arms out when he stepped out of his car. 

"Good morning world!" He said loudly. I raised my eyebrows as i looked at him. 

"Dude, how do you have so much energy?" I grumbled, walking over to him.

"The sun is shining, kinda, and we get to go to Disney! How do you not have energy?" He said grinning at me as he leaned back against his car. 

"Well one, I'm normal. Two, I haven't even had coffee yet. " I replied, rolling my eyes but smiling back at him. 

It didn't take long for Courtney and Damien to show up. Shayne and I passed the time talking. When Courtney stepped out of her car, I barely gave her time to hand me my coffee before taking a deep drink of it. Sighing happily as i closed my eyes. 

"Well good to see you too." Courtney said with a laugh. Smiling gratefully at her once I opened my eyes before holding out some money i set in my pocket to pay her back, which she waved away. "Don't even think about it. Besides I didn't pay. Ran into Damien there." She said before walking over to Shayne. 

Turning around to face Damien who had stepped up behind me, smiling down at me. My stomach fluttered slightly when I saw him. Holding the money out to him, only for him to shake his head and push my hand back. 

"Don't even think about it. My treat." He said as he leaned back against the trunk of my car. My eyebrows raised as I tried again to hand him the money only for him to push it away again. Shaking my head before i smiled up at him and slid the money into my pocket. I heard someone clap loudly behind me causing me to jump slightly and turn, glaring as Shayne and Courtney laughed at my reaction. 

"Gotcha" Shayne said with a smile before fist bumping Courtney, Damien starting to laugh at my expression as well. 

"Bro, it's quarter past seven in the morning, forgive me if I'm fricken tired as fudge," I grumble, but i couldn't keep the smile off my face. It was good to hang out with people outside of work. I couldn't remember the last time I did before moving to L.A. 

" Alrighty troops. Matt and a few others are meeting us there. I'm driving. So get your asses in the car or i'll leave you." Damien said as he made his way to his car. 

"Shotgun!" Courtney called out almost immediately before jumping into the passenger seat. 

"Not fair" I heard Shayne grumble as the two of us climbed into the back. 

My thoughts drifted off as the trio talked about work and whatever else was on their mind. Soon I joined in the conversation. The ride passed pretty quick.

My eyes widen when I saw the sign in front of me. Dancing in my seat slightly, feeling like a kid at Disney Land.. Well technically that was true. I felt a shove on my shoulder and turned to look at Shayne, sticking my tongue out at him when i noticed he had stuck his out at me. Quickly turning back to watch the passing signs. 

I was the first out of the vehicle when Damien found an empty spot. My bag over my shoulders as I bounced in place. 

"Come on, we haven't got all day" I said in a giddy tone as I started walking towards the front gates. Damien quickly fell into step besides me, grinning at my reaction. 

"What? Haven't you've been to Disney before?" He asked. I shook my head, looking up at him as his jaw dropped and he stopped walking. "You've never been to Disney?" 

"Nope. First time." I answered before tugging on his sleeve to get him moving again. "So let's go old man." 

"Well shit, you're in for a treat. I'll show you all the cool stuff." He said as he slung his arm over my shoulder. 

Courtney and Shayne had fallen in step behind us, Courtney on the phone with who i assumed to be Matt. 

Needless to say I was ready to start the day, especially ready because the day was going to be spent with some new friends... And a new crush?
