* Ariel's P.O.V *

- 2 weeks later -

"Thank you!" I said, taking my cinnamon pretzel from the Auntie Anne's employee. "You're welcome. Have a nice day!" She said. "You too." I say. I pay for my things and am on my way. After I put my lemonade in the cup holder, I push the stroller and continue to walk.
It was a gorgeous day so I decided to take baby P to the mall. Gia was supposed to meet us here with Sky and baby Nala, but she was running late. I find a nice bench to sit at and take a seat. I stare at my sleeping child. She was so perfect. My phone vibrated and I thought it was Gia. However, it was Brandon. He wanted to FaceTime.
"Hey, babe." I said. "Hey, baby. Where's P?" He asked. I flipped the camera. "She right here." I tell him. "Aww, look at my lil mama!" He says, gushing over our child. I smiled and flipped the camera back on myself. "I know. We made such a perfect little baby!" I say. "Word. Let's have another one." He said. I laughed. "Hey, I'm ready when you are." I say to him. My husband smiled. "What y'all doing? You still at the mall?" He questioned. I nodded my head. "Yeah, we waiting on Gi to get here." I said. "Oh, aight. I'm getting ready to go to the grocery store. You want anything, babe?" Brandon said. Before I could say anything, Brandon answered his own question. "Never mind. I know exactly what to get ya greedy ass." He teased. I laughed. "You are so mean!" I said. "Do you want your oatmeal cream pies or nah?" Brandon said. "Yes!" I said. "Aight then. I'll talk to you when you get home. I love you." He says. "I love you, too baby. Bye." "Bye, mama." I hung up the phone.
"It's about time, Gi! I was beginning to think you wasn't gonna show up." I complained. "I know, I'm sorry! Nala was really cranky before we left the house. She shit 3 times in less than 20 minutes and I had to change her outfit twice." Gia says. I hugged my best friend. We met outside Footlocker. "Aw, I'm sorry. I keep forgetting that you have 2 kids instead of just 1 now." I said.
"Wow, you look so pretty mama!" I said to Sky. We were in the Disney store and Sky wanted to try on Princess dresses. My Goddaughter was currently dressed in a "Princess Tiana" dress. "Thank you, Auntie Awi!" She said. "Spin around for us, baby!" Gi says, taking pictures of her child. Sky spun around and flipped her hair. She had so much personality to only be 3 years old. I loved her little life.
"Man, I want another baby! Is that bad?" I asked Gia. She looked at me and I bursted out laughing. "What?!" I said. "Baby P ain't even 1 yet. Slow down!" She says. I laughed and dipped my water. "You don't want no more kids?" I asked. "Of course I do. But Nala's only 7 months old. I wanna space em' out a little more." Gia tells me. "Mm. I feel you." I say. We left the mall and were now at Gia's house. "I mean, it's normal that you want more kids. The minute the nurse handed Sky to me I immediately knew I wanted more kids in the future." Gi admitted. I smiled and studied my best friend. She was only a few months older than me but I definitely looked up to her. Gia was a beautiful person, inside and out, kind spirit, a boss ass businesswoman, an amazing wife, the best friend a girl could ever ask for, and most importantly such a great mother. Anybody who knew her was lucky. I watched as she fed baby Nala.
August walked into the living room. He must've just been getting home. "Hey, babe." Gia says. "Hi, baby. Hey Ari!" He said, greeting us both. "Hi, August!" I said. August kissed Gia gently on the lips. I loved them together. August was so good to my best friend and it was such a beautiful thing to see her happy. God knows she deserved it.

"Who was that you was talking to on the phone?" August asked. "Ari." I said, putting Nala in her crib. "Y'all was together all day." He says. "Yeah I know." I said to him. He laughed and pulled me in for a kiss. "Y'all really are close huh?" He asked, once we finally came up for air. "At this point, she's family. I've known her basically my whole life." I said.
The next morning, I woke up because I heard my phone ringing. Ari was calling me. "Ari, it is 8 in the morning. You better have been rushed to the hospital or something." I said. "Well, good morning to you too. Shit." She says. "Okay, I'm sorry. Wassup?" I say, noticing that August was still knocked out next to me. "Nothing, Brandon went for a morning jog and I'm bored." Ari says. "Since when has he went for morning jogs?" I wanted to know. "He's been going on morning jogs since I had baby P." My best friend tells me. "I see." I said.
"Okay, baby. Mommy almost done." I say to baby Nala. I was giving her a bath and she wasn't here for it. She was whining. I had no choice but to speed up the process because lil mama just wasn't beat. So, I took her out of her baby tub, wrapped her pink towel around her, and carried her to her bedroom.
August was in the living room watching cartoons with Sky. Sky had her daddy wrapped around her little finger. Their bond was unbreakable and I couldn't be any happier. He was such a good daddy to both of our babies and an even better husband. I was so thankful for him.
While I was getting Nala dressed, my phone rang. It was a number I didn't recognize. Me being stupid, but also curious, I answered the phone. "Hello?" I said, nervously. "Is this Gia?" An annoyingly familiar voice said into the phone. "Um, yes this is  her. Who is this?" I said. "This is Asia. I was wondering if I could talk to you for a minute." My husband's ex girlfriend says. "Give me one good reason why I shouldn't hang up." I snapped. "Gia, please I'm begging you!" She says. I sighed and gave her the benefit of the doubt. She sounded genuine.
"What do you want?" I asked her. "I was wondering if you'd be willing to meet up somewhere." She says. I scoffed. "You must be smoking crack if you think I'm meeting you anywhere. Alone at that." I said. Was she dumb or was she stupid? That girl has had it out for me since day one. Ain't no way in hell was I meeting her anywhere.
