"Baby, we should've been at the restaurant 15 minutes ago. I'm sure you look fine!" I yelled, fixing my Rolex. "I'm almost done!" Ariel shouted back. I sigh loudly as I check myself out in the mirror. I don't know why it take so damn long for that girl to get ready. This is everyday. "This why I don't bring her nowhere." I said, thinking out loud.
It was 7:30 pm, on a Saturday night and we made dinner reservations at this fancy Italian restaurant. We were supposed to be meeting Gia and August there, but Ariel takes forever to get ready. I was dressed in a nice ass suit navy blue suit, a crisp white shirt underneath, and a pair of black loafers. I wanted to wear my forces so bad, but my wife wouldn't let me have any fun. Anyway, I had just got a haircut this morning so my shit was on swim.
"Okay, I'm ready!" Ariel says. "Finally!" I said. When I turned around to look at my wife, I was speechless. Ariel was always beautiful regardless, but tonight? She looked breathtaking. She had on this cream colored dress that hugged all of her curves, and her titties were sitting super pretty. Her hair was slicked down in a bun and her makeup was stunning. My baby didn't need makeup but that was just something that she enjoyed doing. And I supported her. "Baby, you look too good!" I tell her. She smiled and spun around. "Why, thank you!" She says.
"You about to make me say fuck it and we just gonna stay home." I tell my wife. "Why?" She asked. "Cause you look so good. You almost make me wanna get you pregnant again." I said. "AHT AHT! Enough."Ari said. I laughed. "Let me stop." I say. "Yeah, you better." She says, grabbing her purse. I made my way downstairs and grabbed my car keys. I hear Ari's heels clicking close behind so I knew she was on my heels. We had already dropped off baby P to Ari's sister, Ana. She was the only person we trusted enough to watch our daughter.
"It's hot in here, baby are you hot?" Ari asked me, opening the windows in the car. "I'm fine. Nobody told you to wear that big ass fur vest." I said. She sucked her teeth. "It goes with the fit. Don't hate!" She says, fanning herself. "I'll be a hater but at least I ain't having heat flashes." I teased. Ari squeezes my arm. "Ow, man!" I said.
"Gi, look at you!" Ari says, running to her best friend. I dapped up August. "Wassup, man. How you living?" I said. "I'm living! Can't complain, homie. How about you?" August says. "I'm good, chilling." I said. We all went inside and waited to be serviced.
"You still hot, babe?" I asked Ari. "Mm mm. It's actually kinda cold I'm here." She said. "Maybe it was a good thing that you wore that hot as bear vest." I said. She rolled her eyes. "It's chinchilla." My baby snapped. I laughed and put my hands up. "Well excuse me!" I say. We were waiting for 30 minutes.
"Can we go somewhere else to eat?" Ari asked, laying her head on my shoulder. We been sitting here for almost 2 hours now. "Right. This don't make no sense!" Gia said. I rubbed my eyes cause it was almost 10 pm. "Yeah, this shit is for the birds." August says. "I'm ready to go pick up my baby." My wife said. I sighed and looked up at my watch. "I guess we can go somewhere else. What y'all wanna do?" I said, turning to Gia and August, who looked like they were about to knock out. "I'm still hungry, babe." Gia says to August. "We can just go somewhere else." August suggests. "Yeah, I'm all for that." Ariel said.
We actually just ended up going to In N Out and talking pictures outside. All four of us. "I'm ready to go home and see my babies now." Gia says. "Yeah, I miss my baby." Ari said, sipping her milkshake. "Y'all are such moms." August said. He and I laughed and dapped each other up. "Y'all don't miss ya kids?" Gia asked. "Nah, of course I miss my baby girl." I said. "And I miss my little mamas too. It's just nice to get away from the kids every once in a while." Aug said, speaking for the both of us. I once again dapped him up for backing me up. "Yeah, that's all we was tryna say." I said. It was quiet and we were all just sitting outside looking up at the stars. "Man, this really feels like we in high school again." Ari said. "I know. I miss it." Gia says. I stare at my wife as she's not even paying attention to me. I really loved this woman with all my heart. She was my everything and I didn't know what I'd do without her. She finally caught me staring at her. "What you staring at, fool?" She asked. "I can't look at you?" I said. She grinned and continued to drink her shake. "I didn't say that, papi." She says. I leaned in and kissed her on the cheek.

- The Next Morning -

I decided to wake up before Ari and make her breakfast. She and baby P were still in bed sleeping. Ari taught me how to cook when we first started dating so I knew what I was doing. I decided to make her favorites, eggs, waffles, bacon, home fries, sausages, and toast. I also poured her a glass of orange juice.
About an hour later, I made my way up the stairs and into our bedroom. When I got in there, I noticed both Ari and baby P were wide awake. Ariel was kissing our daughters chubby cheeks. Ari wasn't gonna like it but, P looked just like me. Especially in the morning.
"Good morning, my beautiful babies!" I said. "You say 'Good morning, daddy!'" Ari says to our baby. I leaned in to kiss my wife. I gently put down the breakfast tray in front of her. "I made you breakfast." I said to her. "Thank you, baby!" She says. I smiled and took baby P so that she could eat.
"You just waking up?" I asked Ari, watching her eat. "Yeah, what time is it?" She asked, her mouth full. I laughed cause my baby really love to eat. "It's 11:45." I told her. "What we doing today?" Ari says. I shrugged. "Whatever you wanna do, babe." I said, putting P up in the air. "Lets go to the beach!" My wife suggested. "I'm down." I said, standing up and giving my child to Ari. "You wanna go to the beach, mamas?" Ari says to baby P.
