~ 5 Years Later ~

"Mama!" Sky squealed, running up to me. I tried to crouched down to my daughters level and picked her up instead. "Hi, my pretty girl!" I said, holding her tight and not wanting to let go. I carried her to the car. We got to the Tesla and I unlocked the doors.
It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon and I had just picked up my baby from ballet class. August let me drive the Tesla today. I love that man with all my heart. We've been together for 5 years but married for almost 3, we have a beautiful 3 year old princess named Sky, just moved into a new house, and are expecting another baby. He and I got married when Sky was only 5 months old. It meant so much to me that she was there with us. So, I guess you could say we're blessed. Very blessed. I'm very thankful.
Anyway, I strapped Sky in her car seat, put the other seat belt on her, and closed the door. Next, I made my way to the drivers side and got in. I put my seatbelt on and started the car. "You hungry, baby?" I asked Sky,looking at her in the mirror. She nodded her head. I smiled. This child of mine. "What do you wanna eat?" I wanted to know. "McDonald's!" She said. "You got it,little mama!" I said to her, finally pulling off.
When we got to McDonald's, I ordered Sky a kids meal and for myself, I got a 10 piece nugget, a medium fry, and a vanilla milkshake. August called me while we were there and told me he just wanted a Big Mac and a coke. Once we got our food, we were on our way home. August didn't want me on my feet for too long, being 6 months pregnant and everything. He would've got Sky from ballet but he was in the studio all day. I understood completely. My man was talented and he had to do what he had to do.
About 15 minutes later, we were finally home. I got out of the car and took Sky out of her car seat. Even though Sky wasn't a baby anymore, I still felt the need to do certain things for her. That's just how I am as a mother. She may not be a baby, but she would always be my baby.
With Sky's hand in one of mine, and my new Louie bag in the other, we walked to the door. "Mama, you look pretty!" Sky says. I look down at my precious child and smile. She always made me smile. "Aw,thank you my baby!" I said to her. Sky smiles at me. "You're welcome!" She says. I finally unlocked the door and let my princess run inside.
We had only moved into our home a few months ago. The house had 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 1 huge kitchen, a finished basement, a ginormous backyard with an underground pool, a 5 car garage, and a gorgeous balcony with an incredible view. August wants to turn the basement into a home gym.
I was extremely tired and wanted to take a bath. August's car wasn't home, but I checked his location to see where he was. Apparently, he was on his way home. Sky was oddly quiet, so I went to see what she was up to. She was in her room, playing with her toy kitchen August and I got her last Christmas. "Skylar Melody." I said. She turned around to look at me. Everyday, I look at her in disbelief. Like how on earth was I blessed with such a beautiful, intelligent, funny child? "Yes,mama?" She says. "Wanna take a bath? You gotta get out of your ballet clothes so that you can play, okay?" I said. "Okay, mommy!" She said. I smiled as she ran towards me and grabbed my hand. We went to the bathroom and I gave her a quick 10 minute bath. Now, she was fresh and clean. I wrapped her Princess Tiana towel around her and we went to her room to find her some clothes to wear.
About a half hour later, August came home. I heard him come in while Sky and I were in the living room. We were watching her favorite show, Blues Clues on her iPad. "Daddy's home!" He yelled from the foyer. "Daddy's home baby!" I whispered to Sky. Her eyes lit up. She loves her daddy. They've been inseparable since she's been born.

"We're in the living room, babe!" I called. August came walking in the room, in no time. He had the biggest smile on his face. "Hi my babies!" He said. "Daddy!" Sky yelled, running up to her father. He picked her up and spun her around. "Hi princess!" He says. After he kisses our daughter he makes his way over to me. "Hey, baby." He says, bending over to give me a kiss. "Hi babe!" I responded.
"Your food is in the microwave." I told him. "Okay, thank you baby." August says, putting our child down and walking to the kitchen. Sky sat back down next to me on the couch and lay her head on my chest. I lean down and kiss her forehead. My baby.
