Sitting at the bar, I sip on drink number... I lost count. Why not have another, its not like I can go back to my apartment anyways. Curiosity hit me wondering if Elliot will cave. I know he is attracted to her, and I think if circumstances were different—he would have already been with her.

Our number one rule—no complications. No strings attached to any of our relationships. I made an exception for Mia because I felt drawn to her. I would break my rule again in a heartbeat for her—she is my soul sister. We are more of a here and now kind of friendship, which is nice because it's not like I can explain my lifestyle with her.

We agreed we would stay in contact when we arrive in New York, but I told her that taking over my family business will take up most of my time. It's not like I can say 'Hey, I'd love to hang out but right now I need to kick to shit out of this guy. But hey lets' get brunch tomorrow?'.

Not that I don't think she couldn't handle the truth, Mia is tough and by the looks of her brothers, she might not come from an innocent life as she claims to be. But that is not my business.

My identity is all I have right now that is keeping me safe. My brother tried hard to keep it a secret—I was always discreet when I tagged along with him. I rarely interacted with the other members growing up, so my identity was secure.

Aside from River, Elliot, and Luis—no one knows where I am or what I am doing. I haven't been back home since I've left for college. River and I always meet somewhere discreet to visit each other. New years was in Aspen, last summer in Greece and before that, I spent a month in Italy with my grandparents at their winery. It started out as a front for the businesses. But since my grandparents retired, they genuinely enjoy running it now. Keeps them busy and staying out of our business.

If my Nonno had it his way, I'd be married off to some rival crime family just to keep the peace with them. River wouldn't hear it and told him we are a family—a team. That we will run this business together and Nonno has no say in the matter who we marry.

"You're daydreaming again mia bellissima. Do you always do that in public?" I heard a familiar deep voice—that is way to close to my ear. Turning around, Valerio's face was a mere few inches from mine. I take a minute to gather my thoughts.

"Only when the company doesn't satisfy me. Girls got to take care of herself somehow."

He clutches his jaw slightly, narrowing his eyes and stares at me with his intense eyes. I smile an innocent smile at him. I am beginning to think he doesn't enjoy my attitude.

"Oh Bellissima, if you want to be satisfied, that can be arranged. I promise you..." leaning in closer to my face, while he caresses my cheek with his knuckles. "You won't be daydreaming in that little head of yours." His low, husky voice vibrates in my ear.
