Watching Vixen pin Chanel against the vehicle by her throat with a gun pointed to her head fascinated me.

As much as I would love to watch her kill the girl, I knew the consequences afterwards would be troubling.

I put a hand on her shoulder, attempting to calm her. I could see the shock on Vixen's face at my gesture, but I couldn't let her kill the girl.

"If you kill her, you will be starting a war. Her father is a powerful man."

A bitter laugh escaped her lips and I knew what she was thinking. That she was powerful too— and no doubt she was. But Silas Thomas had connections and it would start a lethal war if she killed his only daughter. I couldn't let Vixen put herself in that kind of danger.

"Silas Thomas," I simply stated. Hoping she would understand why she couldn't kill Chanel. I could see her contemplate her options and I hoped she would choose the latter. She leaned in and whispered something to Chanel before dropping her.

Chanel dramatically coughed and gasped for air and I couldn't help rolling my eyes. Weak. I don't know why I ever found her attractive. I don't know how I ever found any other woman attractive. None have ever compared to Vixen.

"You're fucking crazy! What is wrong with you psycho! Don't you know who I am?" Chanel shrieked at Vixen.

Vixen didn't even flinch at the comment. Instead, she knelt to the ground and lifted Chanel's chin up to look up at her with her gun.

"I do now but I could care less. I would have killed you, but you have something I want."

Chanel yelled something to the men that she came with and soon one of them disappeared behind the vehicle along with one of Vixens men. I recognized him from the night that Vixen stormed into my warehouse.

I spaced out thinking about how sad and distraught Vixen had been that night. I look at her now, how she looked so put together again. I wasn't sure if it was all an act or if she was that strong that she was able to already overcome her brother's death.

I thought about how good it felt to be inside her in the apartment. The way her moans escaped her mouth. The way she pulled her ears when she came. It was so fucking satisfying to watch—I never wanted to forget it.

The fucking girl had an effect on me and I needed it to stop. I needed to focus on my family. They are what matters, not Vixen. Maybe in another life, but I knew we were wrong for each other in this one. We would be the death of each other.

The sound of a high pitch scream broke me out of my trance and i looked over to Vixen who had a handful of Chanel's hair in her hand. I furrowed my brows at what just happened.
