Chapter 10

Jina left the gym as soon as Chen finished his song. She was called by his boss at the middle of the event.

As she finished the call, she saw a man near the post outside the school.

"Changgu oppa?"

The man saw her and hurriedly put on his hood and turned around.

"Wait Oppaa.."
"Jina? ..What are you doing here?"
Miyoung , her classmate in high school came in with Dohwan behind her. She diverted her attention to the two.
"Oh Miyoung-ah.. Dohwan-ah. I just  answered a call."
"Are you done? Let's get inside. I heard Jongdae's voice as we were arriving.."
"Ah yeah.. I'm goin with you."
Jina had a last glance to the man whose back is at them.

▪️Changgu▪️

I never planned to come here and visit. Not only when that Nam Taehyun knew about this event and forcefully delivered me here. How did he know?

I don't want to see them as much as they don't want to. But here I am, caught by her.. She's really pretty behind the camera.

But I can't let her see me this way. Especially with that Jongdae near him.

I wanted to see them for the last time so I got nearer to the gate.

Jongdae just showed off his talent. How boastful he is!
But.. someone looked at me.

Heol! It's Baechun. She made it here.
I have to leave soon.. it's now or never.

I left the gate and went down the road. I still have time to wander and check the neighborhood before I go back to Seoul.

"Excuse me... Are you from IHS?"
I turned around to the one talking.

"Changgu oppa?"
Her eyes were full of surprise, confusion and maybe anger..

So I got rid of myself from there and ran across the town.

"Wait.. Changgu oppa?"

I didn't listen and continued sprinting.
I passed through the quiet street when a bus honked.

Behind me is Baechun yelling at me and was crossing the road..

Oh No! I went back to her and pushed her away.. We rolled to the sidewalk as the bus passed by.

Phew! We are safe..
I felt pain on my face.. I touched it and there were droplets of red fluid. Blood.

"Oppa.. You're bleeding." She touched my face and tried to wipe it with her handkerchief but I hesitated to and threw the cloth.

"It's nothing." I stood up feeling another pain on my back. Baechun looked perfectly fine. "Better go back to the school before everyone looks for you."

She stood up and held my hand.
"I miss you oppa. Mom and Dad do. Please.. come back home."
I faced my back at her and yet I can still hear her sniffs.
"There's no home for me there. I want to live on my own."
"Dad has surely forgiven you.. and Mom is worried sick."
She held unto my hand tighter.
I let go of it.
"They still have you. You're their favorite child.. Because you're kind, smart and not delinquent like me. They even told you to join that Idol thing of yours."
"That's not true oppa. They loved us both.. and I wanted to be an idol because of.... someone... else."
"Who? Jongdae? Tss.. No matter what you do. He'll never like you. Idols are like that. They leave you anytime they want. "
Just like what he did to us.. to me.. when he left for that dream of his. We promised that we'll never leave each other behind but what did he do..Tsk.
"Oppa.. He didn't leave you. It's not what you thought... "
"Enough of this. I'm leavin. Make sure not to see me again."

I eventually left her down that road snobbing.
'I didn't want you to get hurt Baechunie.. So please stay away from him.'

▪️ Baechun▪️

I can't understand Changgu oppa. He was totally wrong about Chen oppa.
Though he wasn't really that nice.. but his intentions were clear.
If only Changgu oppa can hear me out.

"Baechunie? Is that you?"
A woman walked to me.
"Ow it' s Baechun.. Come Junkyu-ya."
And a man came behind her.
"Wow our Baechun has changed a lot." He praised.
"Seunghee unnie? Junkyu oppa?"
My brows met tryin to guess who they are.
"Aww how could you forget us.."
Junkyu oppa joked.
"What are you doing out here? You know I and Junkyu just arrived from our 'meet with the parents' and we wanted to join the event."
They both showed their ring fingers clutching sparkling gold rings. They are engaged.
"It's been months.. Seunghee had a hard time courting me."
I laughed. Seunghee unnie just elbowed him.
"Come on Baechuniee.. let's head to the school. Don't listen to him. Tell me about your life now...."
And we walked back to the school.
It was so sudden that my attention diverted. I couldn't see any mark of Changgu oppa elsewhere.

Sooner or later, everything will turn out will.. And I can finally confess to him.. again.

Aww Changgu is harsh. But don't hate him too much. He had a hard time though.
