Chapter 13

"We'll visit him the next day Baechunie.. That's the only day I am free. I don't know about Lyn but she'll see her schedule. You know that friend of mine is becoming more and more popular. How about you?"
Baechun was curling on her bed with her phone on her left ear.
" Probably tomorrow early in the morning unnie.. I'm quite busy these days too. "
She hung up her phone and stared at the ceiling trying to fall asleep. In a while, she couldn't recall how the ceiling looked like.

A week has passed and everything went smoothly just the way it was supposed to be.
I didn't hear from Jina unnie nor Changgu oppa since then. And I didn't even have a sight of Chen oppa for a long time.

But one night, Namji unnie called me.
Nam Taehyun oppa got severely sick. And they were planning to visit him on his apartment. I probably will.

Nam Taehyun oppa was a good friend of mine. When I was in JGS, he helped me a lot to cope up with the work. Though at first I was just a trainee, I developed my skills with his help for a short time right after he arrived from the USA.

And here I am, right in front of his apartment to check on him. Namji unnie and Lyn unnie used to live here but I never did so I am not quite sure where his room is.

It was still six in the morning. It's early for people to get up. I might as well come back the other day.

I was about to turn around when one man went out from the door of the big apartment.

"Excuse me.. Do you know a certain Nam Taehyun?" I called him.

He turned around. And I gasped.

"Changgu oppa?"
"Chunie? What are you doing here?"
"I should be asking you that Oppa.. what are you doing here.. in Taehyun oppa's apartment?"
"D-Do you know the owner here?"
His look is a mixed of confusion and surprise.
"Of course, he is my friend. And I worked in his company before."

'That figures why he knew about the reunion.' I heard him whispered to himself.

"And you oppa.. Why are you here? Don't tell me you live here now? "

"If you were looking for him.. He has left for work in the new building" He changed the topic.

Work?I thought he was sick. Changgu oppa then hurriedly walked away.
"Wait.. Do you know where that place is? The new building? "

I thought Changgu oppa was going to leave me hanging again but it was so surprising that he went out with me.

We didn't talk to each other along the way but having his presence with me was already enough.

After few minutes of riding the bus, we arrived in front of a big building with the logo of JGS. This must be the entertainment agency Mr. Jang created. It was too late for me to join here.

We went inside the building.

"I'll leave you here. Find your way to look for him." Changgu oppa just said.

"Huh? But—"

"Baechun-a?"
I saw Taehyun oppa waving meters away from me. He ran towards me.
"It's you? Why are you here?"
"Well I thought you were sick so I came to your apartment to visit you. But looks like you're as fit as a fiddle."
"Haha well.. I got tired and felt bored lying on my bed for days.. So here I am working again lively. Wait.. you've changed a lot Baechuna.."
Everybody says so. I noticed Changgu oppa trying to escape when Taehyun oppa took a glance at him.
"Oh Changgu-ssi. You're here too. Did you bring Baechun for me? Come here.. I'll introduce you to her." He knew my brother? What is happening to the world?

"Baechun-a.. This is Kim Changgu-ssi. He's working in JGS Studio as a messenger for weeks now. And Changgu-ssi.. This is Kim Baechun. She used to work in JGS too.. One of the bests. But she left to become an idol. Too bad she left before this company started. "
This is totally a coincidence. Taehyun oppa doesn't even know our relationship.
Changgu oppa just bowed and said."I have to leave sir. I've got work to do in the studio."
And he left.

"He's handsome right? He should be an idol." Taehyun oppa said when Changgu oppa was distant.
"Not a good choice for him."
"Why do you say that? You sounded like you're a family."

"Of course.. He is my elder brother."

It's quite late in the evening and I just finished my work.

Sir Taehyun had given me a lot of work today than usual. What's got into him?

I was about to open the door of the apartment when a figure moved behind the garbage bins.
I checked it to see a cat rampaging the trashes..
As I went back to the door, a woman was standing.

It was Baechun.

"Changgu oppa.. Can we talk?"
"If you want to talk about mom and dad again, you'll get the same response. Now step aside." She didn't listen to me and covered the door handle behind her.
"I said.. move!" I pushed her aside and she went down on the ground. I wanted to help her get up but I couldn't..

"Oppa.. it's about Jina unnie. Please let me talk to you for the very last time." I saw bruises on her knees. She's bleeding and tears start falling from her eyes.

That reminded me when we were still young..

'Oppa... it hurts... my knee.. Am I going to die?'
'No... that's just a tiny bruise Chunie that won't kill you. Come to oppa and I'll cure it. You know I have healing power right?So stop crying now okay?'

I am back to the present time. Chunie has grown up.. she's not crying because of her bruises but... because of me..

After all, she's my baby sister.

I came near her and helped her stand.
"Come.. Oppa' s got healing powers.. remember?"
And he hugged me so tight. Oh! I miss this.

I miss my little Chunie.

Now they have the chance to talk.
Let's hope things get better before Baechun shows herself to Chen again.
