Chapter 19

▪️Chen▪️

All the words that came out from her mouth hit me a ten thousand folds.

For a very long time Baechun has liked me.

She told me about it back then when Namji left SME, but I didn't take the effort in accepting it.

And now, she said it again with a full face and a brave heart. She must have waited for this day to come.

I held her left hand and I saw tears falling from her closed eyes.

How should I tell her about how I feel?

Can I handle the consequence?

"Baechun-a. You are such a wonderful woman. You are kind, loving and strong. You don't have to change who you are or what you wear.. All those things I said are reasons for me to like you. Yes.. I like you too.. but.."
I paused.. I don't think I can keep on going.

She opened her eyes and looked at me.
"but I am really just like your younger sister.. and that you only love Jina unnie your entire life." She finished it.
I simply nodded.. There is nothing to explain.

Ever since I was in middle school, Jina has always been the dream of my ljfe. Because of her I started hanging out with other classmates.. I enjoyed singing especially when we were together.

I never stopped loving her.

Saying those words.. I felt naturally guilty. I felt guilty for hurting Baechun but I can't take it when I lie to myself.

"Thank you oppa." Baechun held my hands and smiled at me still with flowing tears.
"Thank you for telling the truth. I am still happy that I am important to you.. as a younger sister.. Mmm I am crying like a baby now. I have put hard work on my make up and it's all ruined. Hahah.. I'd better leave before your driver comes back. Goodbye oppa." She wiped her tears and hurriedly went out.

I was waiting for her to turn around but she didn't.

The shooting has started and in a distance I can see the sweetness both of them are having.

Chen oppa has the courage now to tell Jina unnie how he feels.. and I am sure Jina does the same too.

After that time in the coffee shop, I knew who's gonna win.

(Flashback to coffe shop encounter with Jina)

Before Jina unnie left, I asked her one final question.
"Do you like him unnie?"
She turned around and asked.
"Who?"
"Chen oppa. Do you still love him?"

She answered with a smile.
"I alway do."

"Those words perfectly fit for each of them.. But why are my tears kept on falling. You lost Baechun-a. Stop crying like a baby.. Waaaahh I am really a child." And I cried out loud.

I only stopped crying when somebody handed me a tissue.

"Do you need my powers Chunie?"

I looked up to see a bright handsome face.
It's Changgu oppa.

He didn't leave.. He saw what was going on here.

"Oppaaaa ㅠㅠ" I cried on his arms.

"Guess both of us need healing powers Chunie.. to heal our wounded hearts." I can sense the pain in my brother's voice. It must be painful for him too but he eventually accepted it.

"It really hurts. But, I can't step in between them anymore. I couldn't prove myself to Jina anymore.. then I'd better do it for my family. And this makes me even stronger than before. "

"Oppa you know what.. when I fall in love, I become a fool.
But if I hide this heart, I’ll get hurt even more" I continued crying.

"You are not a fool Chunie.. Somewhere, someday someone will look at you just who you really are. Believe in that." Changgu oppa sounded calm.

Just then my phone beeped and a message arrived.

It is from Taehyun oppa.

From: 남태연 오빠 (Nam Taehyun oppa)
Message:

Sorry about yesterday evening Baechun. I was also carried away with my emotions.. but to tell you the truth.. it was just an acting. I did it on purpose.

Because there is something I need to tell you..I...I'll tell you when we meet again.

A smile painted on my face.
"What was that Chunie? What were you doing with Taehyun-ssi yesterday evening? What?" Changgu oppa had his brows met at the center.

"Stop thinking any malice oppa.. nothing in particular happened. But I guess I knew now who will look at me... whoever I am."

His angry look changed to a smile and we both stayed in that position for a longer time..

So that was a worthy kiss then.

I didn't lose..this is just the beginning.

Someone will look at me.. someone will.

In the end.. Chen still chose to love Jina.
It's painful for both the sibling but it's not yet the end for the both of them.
