-Peter pov-
It's been weeks! No attacks, no new news, and no sign of anything ever happening. The spider team are starting to turn on Madam Web also. I've been meeting with Xavier and Sam on a daily basis. All three teams are having the same issues. We were prepared and now...nothing is happening.
"The avengers are about ready to pull their numbers away" I look at Sam shocked "We can't just stay here kid if there's nothing happening! We have the whole world to watch out for and as sad as I am to say it we can't stay here any longer"
"So you're gonna leave my team to defend with only the X-Men?!" I shoot out of my chair and step toward Sam "You talk about how the avengers are a family and I'm family but you're abandoning me!"
"We lost a member of our family too" Sam stands up and walks to the door "If you continue this you'll be pulled of the avengers Peter"
"You don't have the authority to make that call alone" Sam doesn't look at me "Its not you making this call is it?"
"Bucky and I tried to stop it and Clint was on our side" Sam shakes his head but still doesn't look at me "The rest agreed that if you resisted you'd be put on temp leave or suspended while this goes on...I'm sorry"
"Tell Bucky and Clint thank you" Sam nods and walks out "So it's just our teams huh?"
"Im sorry about your friends" I just sigh and sit down in my chair again "So it's just our two teams now?"
"I guess so" I can't believe what just happened....they left me! They chose to abandon me...and why would Sam not react when I stepped at him?... "Oh god they are inside!"
-Pete pov-
I'm sitting alone in the Spider teams room when the door opens. My spider senses go off so I turn and it's just a waving Petra. Wait wasn't she on class duty today?
"Hey Petra how was the classes?" She goes rigged for a split second "I know the one I taught was difficult"
"Yeah it was a change for sure" She walks over to Noirs locker at opens it "It was something I'd rather not do again"
"Funny" I stand up and walk toward her "Cause I remember you saying you loved teaching the kids"
Red alert! Red alert! Wanda and possibly more enemy mutants are inside the institute!
I quickly start shooting webs at the imposter but get energy blasted back. I crash through my table as the now undisguised Wanda runs out. So the chase is on.
I run after her and get joined by Bucky and Sam. We run after her into the courtyard and she starts holding up two kids. She has energy wrapped around their necks. I put my arms in front of the other two.
"Wanda put them down they've done nothing!" She doesn't make a move to put them down "Wanda please! I don't know you but from what they've said this isn't you! But I know what it's like to lose someone you love! I'm Peter Parker! You know what your Peter lost? Imagine more years of losing people! Friends that were like family! Let this kids down and we can try to help you!"
"No you'll arrest me and let me become a slave and a public enemy like my father!" The kids starts gasping and their faces are changing colors "I will not stop until mutant kind stands tall! You could join me! Bucky I still love you and we could be together! Imagine it!"
"I can imagine it" I get hit with the butt of his gun and kicked into Sam "I can't be without you anymore! Please take me with you!"
"Oh Bucky" Wanda lets the kids go and lowers down before smirking "I can get into minds remember?"
Bucky soon has a blade sticking through him. Wanda backs away and flys off. Sam and I run over to Bucky who's spitting up blood.
"I thought I-I-I'd be able to do recon" Bucky coughs up more blood "It didn't work"
"Med bay now" We look at beast who has finally shown up with some X-Men "We can treat him there"
-Time skip-Peter pov-
"What do we know?" No one says anything "So we know nothing"
"She read Bucky's mind" Peter takes a deep breath and closes his eyes "She May have been here for while reading all of our minds and reports...she may know about New Asgard"
"So that's where we go" Logan stands up and pulls out a cigar "We are going to New Asgard and we are gonna take the fight to them"
"As long as they haven't beaten us to it" We all stay silent after Sams words "I don't wanna be a downer but we need to send a true signal and false signal to get May, the twins, Michelle, and all the unpowered untrained civilians out of there"
"Where will we take them?" I look at Sam then Xavier "We have no place to put them!"
"We have extra rooms if they don't mind bunking" Cyclops steps out from behind Xavier "We could hold all of them and possibly find some gifted people while they are here!"
"So we leave now" We all nod and I stand up "We only have one go at this! We have to have two Carriers and only one may make it back...we gotta hope it's the civilians...because of its not then that's blood on our hands and theirs"
"Then let's stop talking and let's get going" We all walk to the door but Logan stops me "You make sure your aunt and kids get on our jet got it? I'll make sure they leave before anything else"
"Yes sir" He nods walking out and I stare at him as he goes "I thought he was a hard egg to crack"
"He is" I look to my left at Xavier "But he cares about fellow mutants and will help people who are fighting as he says 'the good fight'"
I just nod and follow where they went. This plan can go many ways but I'm hoping for only one. I don't care if we even catch Wanda or any bad guys. We need to get the good people, those civilians, out of harms way. That's all that matters to me.
Michelle I'm coming to bring you home.
