No Fear

Chapter Twenty-Three

Third Person Pov:

Tom and Edd arrive at the castle, Matt didn't want to go again since he feels like if he saw the castle again he'd probably cry from all the good memories in London. They step into the castle where many other people admire the extravagant building, which once again it's just a bunch of communists.

"Always communists," Tom groans then looks around. "I wonder where Red is.."

"Red? You mean Red Avenger?" Edd asks Tom in confusion and Tom nervously smiles.

"Yeah, I meant that," Tom says to Edd and nervously laughs, which makes Edd suspicious.

Suddenly you can see Scott Williams chasing after Red as Red runs over to Tom and Edd. When Red makes it to Tom and Edd, he waves with a cheerful smile and when Scott makes it over he groans and slaps Red's arm which makes Red whimper.

"Sorry for Red Avenger's sudden excitement, he just.." Scott begins, it seems only Scott notices Red's mask's lovestruck smile as he looks at Tom. "he just really likes Blue Leader since he was kind to him," Scott disappointedly sighs. "Look, just don't mind him. He's like a puppy, if you're nice to him then he likes you."

"I'm fine with it," Tom says and shrugs. "I like nice people. So even if we're on opposing sides, if he's nice then I'll be nice too." Little does Tom know, this only makes Red's heart beat faster.

"Right..." Scott says and elbows Red's arm to knock him out of La-la Land, which works and Red comes out of his trance. "Well anyway-" Red tugs on Scott's shirt which catches Scott's attention, Red whispers something into his ear and Scott sighs. Scott turns to Tom and asks, "Red was wondering if you'd like to explore the castle with Red, alone." as Red shyly taps his two pointer fingers together repeatedly, this makes Tom smile.

"Sure why not," Tom says and Red excitedly smiles.

"What about me Tom? I'm here too!" Edd says with some annoyance as he crosses his arms.

"Well you could keep Scott company like you did before," Tom says with a nervous smile, Edd and Scott sigh in unison.

"You know what? Fine," Edd says. "Just go have fun or something..."

"Okay-" Tom says, then Red excitedly grabs Tom's hand and runs off with him, which surprises Tom. "Woah!" Red's mask shows a happy smile just like under the mask, which makes Tom softly smile from his friend's happiness.

*Two Hours Later*

"This place is amazing, probably even better than the old castle," Tom says to Red with a smile as they walk down the hall. "Do you know who designed it?" Red then points to himself with a smile and Tom looks at him in surprise. "Woah! Really?" Red nods and Tom smiles brightly. "That's super awesome!" Red then rubs his arm with a shy smile and nods again. "It probably took a while to make this place,"

Red then shakes his head and Tom tilts his head in confusion. "How long then?" Red then holds up five fingers and Tom looks at him in disbelief. "Five days?!" Red nods and Tom's mouth slightly gapes. "That's insane! How?" Red scratches behind his neck with embarrassment and Tom sighs. "Oh right, you don't talk do you.." Red frowns and Tom panics a bit. "No no it's okay! I understand,"

Red decides stops walking which makes Tom stop walking to look at him, Tom says, "Why did you stop? Are you okay?" Red decides it's time to make a move since they're in a completely empty hallway, Red takes a step toward Tom and gently takes Tom's hand into his.

Tom blushes and he doesn't know why as he slightly stutters, "Wh-what are you doing?" Red then slightly lifts up his mask just to uncover his lips and he leans into Tom's face. "Red?-" Red kisses Tom's lips and Tom's eyes widen from surprise, he would've never guessed that Red felt this way...

Both of their hearts beat at fast speeds as their eyes flutter closed, it's a gentle kiss and for some reason Red's lips seem familiar to Tom, even though it might as well be impossible to identify someone's lips on the spot. Tom hesitantly wraps his arms around Red's neck which quite surprises Red, he wasn't expecting Tom to accept the kiss so easily.

After a few seconds of pure love, they pull back and Red keeps the mask slightly up as he whispers into Tom's ear, "I love you.." with a very familiar accent, but Tom can't quite pinpoint the accent since it's hard to tell when he's whispering.

Sadly, the two boys never even notice Scott hiding behind a statue and watching them with eyes of pure rage. Guess it's time for the Red Avenger to receive a punishment...
