Chapter Twenty-Four

Third Person Pov:

The hard truth of the situation is that even though Red Avenger is the one who's constantly on the news, who kills the leaders, and writes the letters, he's not the actual mastermind of the takeover.

General Winston was the general that gave most of the ideas for Red Leader to use when attacking or convincing the public of something, he was also the popular one among the other generals and that's why he was voted to be the sort of new Red Leader while the Red Avenger was the one everyone outside of the Red Army knew as the new Red Leader.

It's quite complicated, but think of it this way- Red Avenger is the one everyone knows and hates while General Winston is the one everyone doesn't know and loves.

Sadly Scott just had to be a tattletale and tell the good old General Winston about Red's 'First Kiss', which General Winston was NOT happy about. So he decided to call up Red from his room and have a little chat in his office...

Red arrives at General Winston's office and knocks at his door, the poor boy is so entranced by yesterday that he hasn't even thought about why General Winston would want him.

Red lives in a large building outside of society where a few special generals live, that includes General Winston. It's usually peaceful, but when Red makes a "oopsie" then he gets sent to the dungeon, where its cold and dark and where a small ceiling lamp gives dim light to the room. But the reason he fears it the most is because the man they call 'Killer John' likes to come down there and make the punishment even worse than it already is...

Usually when Red isn't out in public he takes his mask off, but there are some mighty odd rules where he lives. Red isn't allowed to look in mirrors, he's only allowed to whisper on occasion otherwise he remains silent, and he isn't allowed to touch his hair or look at most of his body which is why he wears long sleeves and a hood all the time. So he doesn't know what he looks like at all and he doesn't know what his accent is, all he knows is he has one from somewhere he can't remember.

Red doesn't know where he's from or how he got his title, all he remembers is waking up and General Winston giving him his devil mask, saying, "You're now the Red Avenger, you will follow all my commands and will believe everything I say is true." after that, Red really just went with the flow and followed orders, even if that means hurting people when he doesn't want to.

But he couldn't help falling in love, it's just something about Tom that gives him goosebumps and makes his heart race. He knows that he is the one who took down the old leader, but what he likes to say to himself is, "Fuck that guy! He failed at living, so who cares about him?!", but in his head of course since he especially isn't allowed to curse and would be killed if he were to talk bad about the old Red Leader.

"Come in Red Avenger," General Winston says and Red opens the office door, he steps inside with his bare feet making a slapping sound on the hardwood floor, he closes the door behind him and holds his hands behind his back in a soldier like position even though he hates standing up straight. "I need to speak with you about something your guardian, Sir Scott Williams, brought to my attention,"

Red nods and General Winston places a photograph on his desk, "Come take a look at this Red Avenger, tell me what you see," Red nods and walks up to the desk, when he sees the picture his eyes widen, he's been caught.

"Scott had told me you were growing far too close to the enemy, but this is just embarrassing," Red looks up at General Winston with a petrified look, he knows where he's going and he fears that place like it's hell itself... "That equals a good four days in the dungeon, I'll send you down now-"

"No please!-" Red shouts by accident and General Winston's face darkens, Red smashes both of his hands on his mouth as tears fill the corner of his eyes and drips on to his red long sleeve shirt which has a red hood stitched on to to hide his hair from himself.

"Shouting equals another two days," General Winston says in a threatening voice. "Six days in the dungeon." Red starts to tear up and tremble as General Winston puts a tranquilizer gun to his forehead, he lowers his arms and freezes up. "Night night, Red Avenger." General Winston then pulls the trigger and Red falls unconscious on to the floor.

General Winston pulls out his walkie talkie and says into it, "Paul, are you there?"

"Yes General Winston," Paul says on the other end.

"I have Red Avenger here and ready to be sent to the dungeon, would you mind picking him up and calling John to accompany him there?"

Paul grinds his teeth as he replies, "I don't mind General Winston, I'll be right over."
