Eclipse

fifteen.

"Luna wake up, we're gonna go to Sagada na," Sol said as he shake my body softly. I yawned and got out of bed.

I went to the bathroom to wash my face and brush my teeth, while brushing my teeth Sol entered the bathroom to brush his teeth with me. We do silly stuff when we decided to hurry up kasi mahaba ang byahe.

I wore my oversized hoodie and a pair of leggings. I didn't bother to put any makeup on. Sol wore some hoodie and sweatpants. I fixed our stuff and we go down to the lobby for checkout. Before checking out, sinulit na namin yung free breakfast ng hotel bago umalis.

"Are you ready for another drive?" I joked as Sol yawned. "I'm more than ready," He said as he fastened his seatbelt and doing a quick prayer for the safety of our trip.

"You know, My mom always told me na I should have a boyfriend. She said my college life must be boring kasi wala manlang daw akong love life," I joked.

"You have me naman na," He smiled. I smiled bitterly while whispering, "Aalis ka din naman e,"

"Huh? What did you say?" He said as he looked at me quickly. I just shook my head and turned around to admire the view.

Hours passed and we finally arrive at sagada, "Ah! Sakit ng likod ko," Sol said a he stretched his body.

We decided to eat first and buy the things that we will be needing bago mag hiking. I also changed my sweater into a sports bra and a shirt, I also changed my slides into my rubber shoes.

The hiking takes 2 hours kaya almost 3 pm nadin nung naka akyat kami sa taas. "Wow, ang ganda ng view!" I exclaimed.

We decided to build our tent na medyo malayo sa ibang tao to have some privacy. We're just enjoying the view when Sol held my hand to help me stand up he then cupped my face as he asked me,

"Be mine?" He said as he opened up a red velvet box revealing a dainty necklace with half a sun on it. I covered my mouth as tears fell down my cheeks.

As my tears fell down, My mind is full of "what ifs?" He had to leave soon, Is it worth it to say yes? Will this relationship work? Ito na ba yon? Yung pinaka aantay ko? O para lang itong eclipse na panandalian lang na mangyayari?

"Hey Luna? What's wrong?"

That snapped me out of my thoughts. I just looked at him and at the necklace. "I'll take the risk. I'll just have to make the most out of the remaining time. I'll prepare myself for the worst," I said to my self. As stared at Sol.

"Yes!" I said while crying. Sol hugged me then kissed my forehead, down to the tip of my nose, the down to my lips. I held his neck to deepen the kiss. We parted our lips as we both ran out of breath. He then placed the necklace on my neck.

Kaya ba kitang pakawalan?

"Bakit sun? Bakit half lang?" I asked him as I admire the charm. Sol then reached for the necklace on his neck as he showed me the charm. It was a half moon, perfectly fits the sun.

"Sun and moon, so that we can still remeber each other even though were far away from each other," He said as he stare into my eyes. I smiled softly.

He's my other half. My sun, my happiness, my strength, and my love.

We took photos to post on our ig story, I held our hands high para kita sa sunset. I put "It's offical!" as caption. Sol then took a photo of my silhouette and he put "officially mine."  as caption.

"Alam mo ba, some people go here to release their anger. Isisigaw lang nila yung problema nila dito sa tuktok ng bundok para mabawasan yung heaviness na nararamdaman nila," I said while brushing his hair. "Really? But what if you want to shout because you're happy?" He said as he got up.

"I don't know, Why? Do you want to try it?" I laughed.

He then inhaled a deep breath as he shouted, "Tangina! Sinagot na ko ng babaeng mahal ko! Whoo!" I just laughed at him.

Papahirapan mo naman akong pakawalan ka neto e.

He laid down on my lap again as he catched his breath. "Eh pano naman kung mag hihiwalay tayo? Sisigaw ka din dito?" I asked him.

He then looked at me. "As if naman maghihiwalay tayo," He said as he cupped my cheeks.

We continue to chill outside of our tent for some time. I'm thinking if what I did is right. Tama ba na sinagot ko sya? But he'll leave once we finish college. Am i gonna be okay when he's gone? Fuck it! I already took the risk.

I snapped out of my thoughts when Sol decided to sleep if we want to catch the sunrise tomorrow.

"Baby wake up, you wanted to watch the sunrise diba?" He said as he wake me up softly. I opened my eyes as he placed a kiss on my forehead. I was then welcomed by his handsome morning face. Damn what did I do to deserve this guy.

We then head out of our tent to watch the sunrise together. We watched in admiration as the sun slowly rises. We just took some photos while sol is hugging me from behind. "I'll never get tired of watching sunrise with you," He said as he kissed the top of my head. I just held his arm and smiled.

We then decided to head back to baguio to buy more pasalubong, I also texted my mom na we'll probably get there before dinner. Wala naman kasi masyadong pang traffic pababa ng Baguio.

While we're on our way home I decided to post some of our photos sa instagram ko. I picked our photos noong nasa sagada kami it was a silhouette of us, he was kissing my forehead while the sun is slowly rising. I just put "My always." as caption.

I decided to scroll down on my feed when I saw a photo that Sol posted it was a photo of me admiring the sunrise of Sagada. I read the caption and it says, "Best view."  I just smiled as I read the comments on the posts.

We're on our way to our house when I notice na medyo kinakabahan si sol, "Hey love, u good?" I said as I looked at him. "Yeah, im just nervous what  if they don't like me?" He said. I just laughed at him and held his thigh for assurance.

"They'll love you, I promise." I said as I stared at him. He just let out a loud sigh as we drove home.
